Our 1st time . Great experience will definitely return. Steaks were cooked to perfection, did not have to go back. The bread was warm and fresh and the bread spread was delicious. Ambience of the historical building was very nice and quirky. Also with the fireplace it had some romance. Randy did his rounds with his customers to show appreciation.
The monthly 5 course wine dinner never disappoints and is a great value! Fun experience and the food is always delicious.
Randy's steakhouse is where all the locals go for a great meal in a quiet and intimate environment. Randy always takes time to stop by and say hello. A great place for that special occasion or to get out of the kitchen for a change of pace.
This was my first time here. My son wanted to celebrate his birthday here. I will speak for 2 items on the menu that were really awful. The jalapeño poppers had watery liquid oozing out of them and no flavor. The lamb chops were also about 4 oz of meat for $51. The food bill was almost $400 and you can definitely get better food at Eddie V's. Never again.
Food was delicious. Server was attentive. I liked the ambiance of the historic house and its history.
Filet mignon was extremely undercooked when I asked for it medium (bright red). It was taken back and got delivered 5 mins later and was still severely undercooked but our server never came back to check. I ended up forcing myself to eat half.
We went here to support a local restaurant that has struggled during a downtown construction project. The owner, Randy, has sacrificed to keep his steak house in business. We'd been in the past (lived nearby for 25 years) and really enjoyed everything about dining there, but had not been back for a few years. Unfortunately, I think the big downturn in business has caused Randy's to make many changes to reduce cost and reduce the amount of negative cash flow. The service was great, but that was the only thing that was good. I will not be going back. The meats seem to all be reduced in quality and overcooked to cover for flaws. The steak was grey when ordered medium (should be pink on the inside) and included some crawfish on top which was very mushy, my wife's chicken was tough and overcooked, and then the table next to us ordered some kind of fish that smelled so bad the waiter was heard saying "I'm not going to serve this" as he took it back to the kitchen. The bad smell not only filled our dining room, but we could smell it all the way to the door. Lastly, the lady at the table next to us was so loud we could not have a conversation at our table. She was practically screaming her laughs and I know that's a problem that is very hard for the employees to deal with, but added to the below par food, I won't be back. I hate to give a negative review, but at the same time I wish someone had warned me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5‑Star Review We recently booked a party of nine at Randy's Steakhouse to celebrate my mother's birthday, and it was absolutely wonderful. Our server, Brandon, was truly the best — attentive, friendly, and made the entire evening feel special. The food was outstanding. We started with the onion rings and wedge salads, which were delicious. At the table, we ordered a variety of potatoes and several filets, and every single one was cooked perfectly. The habanero filet, in particular, was incredible — full of flavor and prepared exactly right. We finished the night with a selection of desserts, including the crème brûlée and chocolate mousse, all of which were fantastic. Great wine, great food, and lots of laughs made it a perfect celebration. Our family has been going to Randy's for years, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend for any special occasion or a great night out.

Fantastic atmosphere, food, staff, decor, prices. You are welcomed into a beautifully decorated vintage home in Old Town Frisco and there are many dining rooms, all different sizes. The staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. They are open every day after 5 pm. We tried their steaks and salmon and sides and dessert and it was delicious. Highly recommend you give them a try if you’re in the area.

My family and I came here for my grandma’s birthday and sat in one of their private dining rooms and had the absolute best experience. Our server, I believe his name was Marshall, was amazing. We were a large party and he was super attentive to everybody, going above and beyond to ensure that we had an outstanding experience. The food was super delicious as well. We will definitely be back!!

Wonderful prime bone in ribeyes and filets. Sides were all delicious and still tasted well the next day. Bread is the best of the steakhouses in the area. Salads were very tasty and appetizers were enjoyed by our party. And desserts were Lucious. We celebrated birthdays and everyone enjoyed the environment and service as well as food. We just commented tonight the experience is worth the drive of over an hour and parking was easy. We agreed tonight one of the best steakhouse in DFW. Recommend Randy's and we love prime beef. Randy has 5 star rating and it is for a reason. His restaurant is excellent. We will be back for Christmas celebration! Kudos to Randy and his staff.
Our birthday party group of 10 was met by Vegas, our fantastic server and we couldn't have had a better time! We had a private room, Randy stopped by, food was delicious. We've all dined at Randy's several times before and will continue to go, especially for special occasions.
We went here for our anniversary after reading the other reviews and were extremely disappointed. The lack of customers on a Saturday night at 7 pm should have been a red flag. The history of the building is neat, but the food was marginal at best, and the service was just okay considering there were only three other parties in the dining room.
