Enjoyed a wonderful dining experience with attentive service without being overbearing. The food was delicious from the brussel sprout appetizer to the short ribs and gnocchi. Highly recommend!

Went for a Birthday Brunch and it was wonderful. Great server, food as excellent but the busier it got, the louder it was! I think the DJ even got louder. Everything was great except it was loud. We'll be back again!

The food was good, the bourbon was great, the service and atmosphere were kind of garbage. I felt like we were all being herded into the tightest quarters possible, live music was awful, and we basically had to beg the wait staff to take our order or bring us our tab. For the price we paid I could have had an amazing dinner at Del Frisco.

My daughter and I had brunch here. Jesus was our server. He was very prompt, courteous and friendly. I had the BLT and my daughter had the avocado toast. Both were excellent. We will definitely be going back!

It was our first time there this weekend. The atmosphere and vibe is great. The drinks are very good and if you want to modify any existing drink on menu, they are happy to do so. The food was up to expectations. It wasn't out of this world, but very good. The service was outstanding. Our server was great. We would definitely go back.

Based on word of mouth and reviews, I was expecting quite the location and experience as well as an extensive library. The books portion is very exaggerated. They have an extensive whiskey menu though. They make a great old fashioned. Went in only wanting drinks but the braised short rob gnocchi caught my eye. When delivered, I exclaimed it was a very large portion, in which the server stated it was mostly show. When separating the dish, I quickly understood. Roughly 60% of the dish is filler comprising of mushrooms, arugula, and tomatoes. There was a small portion of ghocci and a decent portion of short rib. Of the short rib, 40% was fat. The food I was able to eat had flavor. For such a large dish, it was amazing I left hungry. Some guests arrived before dinner and kept asking me to move seats to make room for their group only after musical chairs, they never sat down. Will I be back? If in the area and meeting a friend or customers for drinks. Will I eat here again? Likely not.Decent place for drinks if local. Not sure about the hubbub and definitely will not make the trek just to go here unless already in the area.

Another terrible experience here. We went to both bars including the signature speakeasy bar. It is hard to rate service when they don't provide ANY. we were lucky to get water. Not even that busy and we never were offered a drink. Bar tenders were too busy talking to other servers then making drinks for other tables while we were at the bar. After 20 minutes total we just left and went to Bottles and Bond which is in the same parking lot. Had my drink and finished it faster than my total time at J. Theodore. Too many other good places in the north metro to go to. After five years of going here I can say we won't be back to this place for their terrible service !

We love this place! Exceptional amazing customer service! The food was amazing! We were here for a double birthday party and everyone had a very memorable brunch and experience. The staff was on point and so attentive to each one of us. #1 brunch place in Frisco!

Most of the time J Theodore is pretty reliable and high in quality. Today, it felt like it was under new management or completely under staffed. My service was mediocre, you could tell the server was overwhelmed. The food was ......yikes. Very haphazardly assembled. Gigantic chunks of tomatoes on refines dishes, huge clumps of feta, it was just really shocking. Like I said, I've been there many a time before. The standard is not something I've been used to.

The waitstaff was not as attentive as desired. Had to waive down others to get our waitress several times. Loved the food but felt it was a tad overpriced. Totally love the environment ash's the DJ on Sunday was fantastic!

This was our second visit to this establishment & the service & food are exceptional! This particular evening (2/17/24), they had a musician on acoustic guitar, singing, & the volume wasn't so loud that you couldn't have a conversation or enjoy the meal. The Rare Books Bar also had a musician on acoustic guitar & the ambience was lovely. We're definitely going to be regular customers!

We had been to Jtheodores 3 times before this visit, and have always loved it - great service, great food, love the menu options and the swanky atmosphere of the restaurant. This time was different - we went for lunch Saturday and was told we could only order breakfast, which we didn't want but didn't have a choice. We walked into what seemed like a nightclub at 12:00 pm on a Saturday with a 4 month old baby - there was a DJ and it was so loud you couldn't even hear yourself talk at the hostess stand, I'm not sure how anyone at the tables could have conversations. We thankfully were seating in a small room away from the DJ. We waited 15 minutes to be greeted by a server. Asked the waiter if we could have food off the lunch menu because that is what we came for and he flat said no without even asking a manager or chef. We could only order from the breakfast menu. Very disappointed, and we contemplated leaving at that point. We ordered food and it was fair at best. Breakfast burrito was bland and dry and the ham omelette was overcooked, dry, and flavorless as well. We barely touched our food and our waiter didn't ask how our food was as he clearly could see we weren't eating it. 2 breakfast items, and an order of fried $65 later. Overpriced for terrible experience. Not sure if we will be back

Disappointed. I didn't realize Saturday was brunch only. Super loud dj playing which was completely unnecessary at brunch. Have enjoyed many good meals here but brunch was way overpriced and service fair.
