This place is hidden gem. Authentic Jamaican food and as a fellow Puerto Rican, I can confidently say the flavors are there. I usually get the salmon jerky with the rice and beans and a side of sweet plantains. After I am done eating, I feel full and satisfied but not heavy and greasy. Overall, is healthy food and similar to what I grew up with.

I am sooo happy we found this place. The service was great, the employees made us feel like family! I loved the menu options also. At this spot, you have to walk in to order your food at the counter, then grab your utensils, napkins and drinks. Your food is then brought to your table when it's ready. The food was yummy! The Ox Tails were meaty and tender and the flavor was undeniably delicious. I literally couldn't help but to scoop up my rice and peas with the gravy from the oxtails! Everything was flavored perfectly! The only reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because none of my food was piping hot, which was a little disappointing. At one point I thought about how much better it would have been if I would have taken my food home and eaten it. That way it would have been the perfect temperature. My husband loved his salmon which we were informed would take a little longer when we ordered...... which explains why it came out hot! He said his sides were luke warm as well. Other that that, I really enjoyed my experience. We will definitely go back!

This is the best Jamaican food I've had out in Texas. I'm from LA where there's just a big melting pot of cultures and food, and the Jamaican food is great. I'm sad to hear this place is closing because the food was absolutely delicious last night. We're quite a picky family, and both my mother and my sister raves about their stewed oxtail. I had the Curry Shrimp and it was great. I'm Haitian, and love sweet plantains; their plantains did not disappoint. I hope this place isn't closed permanently or for too long, and moves to a different location. Great staff and great food. The location is kind of inconvenient because you can't see the restaurant from the entrance of the strip mall. If they move locations they'd get so much more business because the food and service is great

Oxtails. Rice and peas and cabbage. #Heaven! I saw this place pop up on my FB page and thought to see if they could deliver. They do and I'm delighted to say that I am looking forward to going in to meet the folks that run this place. Please, for the sake of whatever flag you fly... order the bread pudding. #ThankMeLater

This place is such a delight. Small no frills but the food and service is fantastic. We liked I it so much we ordered an extra plate to take home. The j*** chicken was on point and thE steamed cabbage and spinach were fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend the grilled veggies as welL.

The food was fresh and tasty. The oxtails were perfectly cooked and very tender. The cabbage was just the amount of crisp. The restaurant is neat, tidy and clean with reggae playing in the background.

1st time here enough though it is only 10 minutes from home. So excited to eat Jamaican food. Reggae Pit Stop definitely didn’t disappoint. Excellent food (I had the curry goat special - the bomb?); great atmosphere and service. Was a pleasure meeting the owner Gary, a fellow Brooklynite, as well!

Very quick service, positive dine-in atmosphere. The j*** chicken was delicious, flavorful without being too salty. The side dishes are tasty, and large enough to share.

Tried this restaurant twice in the last five days. First time we got takeout for two of us. The j*** chicken is excellent! My wife ordered all veggies and really enjoyed the side of cabbage. The only thing that was mildly disappointing were the sweet plantains. I absolutely love them and think they are one of the more difficult things to cook at home, so in my mind it is complicated. Nothing wrong with the flavor of them, but it seemed like they were slightly undercooked. Last night three of us decided to eat dinner at the restaurant. Very clean and I like the house Jamaican music. This time everything was perfect. The plantains were to die for! First time trying the oxtail stew and I highly recommend- comfort food at its best. We will be back and I also like to support local restaurants where the people are really nice.... and these people are exceptionally nice.

Finally a Caribbean spot in Frisco . Went with my girlfriend and tried the Curry Goat and she got the oxtail & J*** shrimp poppers. It was good I would definitely come back. In the little shopping center of Lebanon and the tollway.

Absolutely love this place! I hope they stick around for a long time. We've been thEre a few times and we ended up having to bring my in laws to try it. The oxtail stew is AMAZING!!!!! the j*** chicken was good but I thought it was a bit dry. We always get the yellow rice with the sweet plantains and they never disappoint. I've also tried the grilled veggies and theY are grilled to perfection. I love this place.
