Salsa Tex-Mex is a really good restaurant. It's family friendly and serves good food. They have a lot of different items on the the menu. It is one of the few places where I can eat their chicken. It's mesquite grilled and just really flavorful. I also love the bean dip that is served with the chips.

Excellent trio of salsas: red, green, black bean. Steak fajita options are amazing. All kinds of people, all ages, very comfortable spot with high quality food.

We've become regulars here. Service is awesome, the food comes quick and is always tasty. Cold beer and strong margaritas.

This is in response to an incident that happened a couple of weeks ago at the always-wonderful Salsas in Frisco.
If you’ve read the reviews, you might’ve seen one written by a gentleman who was offended after being asked if he’d been drinking before arriving.
JP, I was actually sitting right next to your friend when you both arrived, and I was there the entire time you were.
Regarding your claim that we gave you an “uncomfortable” look when you sat down—you’re probably right. In fact, I’m sure I did. Your friend was wearing an overwhelming amount of cologne—or something similarly strong—that filled the whole restaurant. I got a headache within minutes of him sitting down.
Any further looks I gave were likely a response to him repeatedly coughing on my arm and sneezing—twice—without covering his mouth. I literally felt the mist on my arm. That’s not okay in any setting, let alone while I’m trying to eat.
As for the whispered conversation with Rolando—yes, we did speak quietly. He asked if I’d like to move, but based on how you both seemed to be acting, I declined because I didn’t want to risk creating a scene. It clearly seemed you were under the influence of something, maybe the movie was a sad one and he had cried a lot, therefore the barely open eyes.
For the record, I’ve been to Salsas many times and have often seen bartenders check in with guests before serving them another drink. Honestly, I didn’t even know he had asked you anything until you started raising your voice.
Since I was sitting right next to you, I clearly heard comments like, “He probably sees your eyes are barely open—it’s from what we did at the movies,” and “It was probably that couple next to you.” For people who don’t want to be judged, those were pretty bold assumptions about strangers who just wanted to breathe and not be sneezed on.
As for Rolando—he’s exceptional. He’s a kind, hardworking person who’s doing his best to support his family, including putting his children through college. I’ve met them, and they’re some of the most polite and respectful young people I’ve encountered.
To anyone reading both his review and this response—those are the facts.
PS FYI. The white couple? We’re Native American

This places is really cool. The hostess was very friendly, professional and funny
We tired getting in yesterday but it was too crowded. When we walked in we were greeted with a Smile. Our table was nice, it was near the front door. The waiter was really really nice and provided excellent customer service. The food was so good. One of my favorite things about this place is chips and dip. There's 3 dips each table receives. But my favorite was the Black bean dip. It comes out hot and the texture is creamy and absolutely delicious. The next time I visit this place, I will Definitely get the fajitas. The smell of the fajitas made you turn your head. And you can hear the sizzle of the fajitas. I would just suggest, if you don't want to wait for table. Please go before 5 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. It gets really busy and crowded. It can be difficult to find a parking space. The music they play, making you feel like like your on a beach vacation in Mexico.

My favorite Tex-Mex place in North Texas. It reminds me of Central Texas/South Texas restaurants. Wonderful service, authentic food, large portions. The salsa is just hot enough, flavorful, and the fajitas melt in your mouth. The cream-filled churros are out-of-this world. They are totally decadent--an experience themselves.

I find myself stopping here more frequently for the delicious margaritas and mojitos that are on happy hour Monday through Thursday I love Rolando (the other bartenders are great as well) he’s always so sweet and professional, very knowledgeable, he has single handedly treated me to a tour of their food and drink menu.I get to experience something new daily. He often asks what I want I smirk then tell him I trust him and to simply surprise me and I’m never disappointed. As a fellow bartender I appreciate his professionalism and knowledge, as a single woman I appreciate feeling safe at this bar. Rolando always makes sure to seat me where I can enjoy myself and not be bothered he seems to have a 6th sense as to whether I want to talk or just be alone everything you could want in a bartender I will continue to come here long after I’ve left the area just to see Ro thanks for the experience I’ll see you soon!

Rolando, Anahi, & Diego are the best bartenders ever. They’re more than just bartenders, we have formed a great friendship with them. They always make sure we are good and feel comfortable. The food is also the best here. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!!!! 10/10
