Soulfoods is typically a grocery store with a small kitchen specially catering authentic Maharashtrain cuisine. Their star product is the vada paav. Across Dallas, I have not had vada paav which is more authentic than the one you get at Soulfoods. The paav that comes with the vada is also freshly baked and is much close in taste to the “laadi” paav we get back in Mumbai. I have also tried their puranpoli, and I must admit it was simply amazing. Size of the poli and sweetness were upto the mark. The store also carries various maharashtrian products of known brands like chitale, aathavles, sohum etc to name a few. Products range from bhajani peeth, jowar peeth, pickle masala, gul poli, upvas items, bhel mix, anarse peeth etc. This has been our go-to place whenever we crave for Maharashtrian food and/or products.

Was told by a friend that they have awesome wada pav but it was no where close to anyting awesome. The aloo in the wada was overwhelmed with turmeric and the green chutney also tasted weird. Sorry but felt disappointed on my first time here.

We catered from them for an event at a college, and they were absolutely amazing in terms of service and food. Everyone raved about how great the food was, and they were the nicest vendors we have ever contacted. We gave them a budget of how much we could spend and they worked out the quantities and were so sweet and helpful when we talked to them. They set the standard for catering companies very high for us. Please visit them! They absolutely deserve your business :)

This has been one of our finds of the new year. The place has a small grocery store & an eatery. My wife is from Bombay, & we like authentic Marathi food.We have tried their food thrice & they haven’t let us down at all.Triple schezwan fried rice, vada pav, pav bhaji, dal pakwan, batata vada, misal pav & kothimbir vadi have all been tasty, authentic.A great addition to Plano/Frisco Indian food scene.

We tried Soul Foods (Spice Bazaar) Veg Fried Rice and Veg Triple Schezwan Fried Rice. To my surprise, its mind boggling! The best indo-chinese rice item I have had so far in Dallas. I would go on to say it was better than Inchin Bamboo and RHCP! The flavor and spice was just amazing! Please give it a try! Thank you Chef Mehboob!

We are big fans of the बटाटा वडा made fresh everyday. It tastes so amazing and authentic that it takes you back to the hometown, Maharashtra. We recently ordered 45 Vadas for a small get-together at our home and everyone loved it. Thanks soulfoods for making it available here in Frisco, TX. Pournima and Niranjan are so kind, friendly and nice to talk with. Keep it up ??

Great store + restaurant. We've eaten most items on the menu and they are very close to home (Mumbai). Great vada pav, misal, rolls, etc! The store also stocks some not very common snack brands which we love as well.

Ordered vada pav, samosas, chole, khasta kachori and paneer tikka masala. Most of the food was pre-paid and reheated. Chole was luke warm. Samosas and Paneer tikka masala were pretty good. Overall the experience and taste of the food was ok.

It’s a grocery store with small restaurant serving some really good maharastrian food items and grocery. You get some good masala, vada aata in grocery section. And misal , vada pav etc.. some authentic cuisine . We tried kothimbir vadi which was very nice having that prominent fresh kothimbir taste and much better then the Maharashtrian chef restaurant in Dallas. Apart from we tried moong usal and alu gobi both were good and alu gobi tested our spice level tolerance . Hope to see them continue maintaining the same quality and authentic taste in their food. Also do try mutter karanji prepared using only fresh pea they are delicious.
