This is absolutely one of my favorite coffee stops. First, they have a drive-thru which is great. Second, the value and price match. They have many drink options and they are consistent in their preparation. They are 'out of my way' but I make a special stop any way. Biggest thing for me I like my espresso STRONG BOLD and I can taste it. So many places their drinks just don't quite cut it. This place gets it right.
Oh, and they always leave you with a smile, writing cute little messages on your cup.

I placed an online order consisting of two coffees, a breakfast sandwich, and a pastry. The confirmation stated the order would be ready in 10 minutes, which seemed reasonable. I arrived about three minutes before the pickup time, expecting it might take a moment — no problem there.
However, despite the store being completely empty, my order wasn’t ready at the promised time. What was frustrating is that I then waited an additional 15 minutes before finally receiving it. That’s a total of nearly 25 minutes for a relatively simple order, with no explanation or update from staff.
The food and coffee were fine once I received them, but the delay really undercut the convenience of ordering ahead. If you’re looking for a quick stop, this might not be the place — at least based on my experience.

Disappointed Regular — This Might Be My Last Visit
I’ve been a loyal customer at Sweetwaters for nearly a year now. Almost every day, I come in for the French Vietnamese Au Lait and a slice of coffee cake. That drink has become something I genuinely look forward to — its taste gives me comfort and a boost, especially on hard days.
But I have to say, there were many times the same thing happened but this time I’ve been disappointed very hardly, and this time, it was enough for me to finally write a review for the second time (on the same issue).
Today, I ordered my usual drink, hoping it would help ease my headache and lift my mood. Unfortunately, what I received was barely half a cup, filled mostly with foam. I finished it in about 4–5 sips. I was removing the foam with a disposable spoon i had in my car and it was just keep on seeing the faom and for a drink that costs over $6, that’s just not acceptable. When I hold the cup I can really sense if its filled or not. When there is a barely drink in it then it is pretty much lightweight like a bird feather. Today It was like a feather.
I’ve held back from writing a negative review before because honestly, most of the staff are hardworking and do a great job. I always tip, out of appreciation. But it’s frustrating to receive inconsistency, especially when you’re a regular customer. Also, sometimes the atmosphere is off — a few staff give such serious looks that it feels unwelcoming.
And the coffee cake sometimes its very thick piece sometimes its hardly a single bite. I really dont want to spend almost 10 dollars everyday on them.
The inconsistency!!!!!!
As much as I’ve loved this place and this drink, I think this was my last visit. Thanks for the memories — but consistency and value matter too.
— A once-dedicated customer
Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea is one of our absolute favorite spots in Frisco! One of the things we look forward to on every visit is the art on display. The ever-changing exhibits curated by the Visual Art Guild of Frisco bring such color and character to the space—it’s so much fun seeing what’s on the walls and stopping to look at all the works from the artists. The artwork adds a unique vibrancy that makes the café feel extra special and creative.
Even with a few new faces over the summer, the staff remains just as kind, welcoming, and genuinely wonderful as ever. We go there all the time and truly enjoy chatting with the team—it’s always a treat when Chelsea, Maddy, Debra or Jo (I know she left town but we still appreciated her!!) are there to greet us with a smile.
The coffee never disappoints! I'm especially obsessed with the Coconut Dreamy, Matte Black Coco or Caramel Cold Brew—they’re all so smooth and flavorful. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Sweetwaters is a gem worth visiting!!!

I love to see my girl, Chelsea, slanging behind the bar. This location is super friendly & clean. The seasonal offerings are fun to try, but I will be ordering a Monster Matcha until I die.

Love this place! Chelsea got me onto the jade matcha latte, and I'm not normally a matcha fan but this definitely was delicious. My daughter loves the matcha with the lychee jelly, and all of their baked goods are yummy. Can't go wrong!! Thanks Chelsea 👌

Sweetwaters is so good and so amazingly sweet, and not just their coffee. Anytime I go the baristas are so friendly and helpful. Chelsea is the absolute friendliest. I can’t tell which is quicker, her bubbly smile, her coffee making skills, or her helpful attitude when I can’t decide on my latest caffeine needs.
