We planned to have Hutchins BBQ for lunch but the line was long so we looked for other BBQ to joints in the area and to my surprise there is a Tender Smokehouse close by. I’ve been wanting to try tender for years . I’m not sure how new the Frisco location is but there was no line and we got right in to order. The Customer service was top notch. We didn’t want or wait for anything. There was always someone asking if we needed anything. We had the fatty brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, and jalapeño sausage. All were amazing! For sides we had potato salad, mac and cheese, bbq beans, and banana pudding. All were really good! I never eat the plain white bread at bbq spots but Tender has buttered toast that I kept eating.I’m definitely glad Hutchins was busy and I found Tender Smokehouse.

Five starts across the board! There was a bit of a line to order when we got there but we took it as a good sign that it must be good, and we were not disappointed!! We got 1lb of brisket to split between the two of us, and man was it a lot! We had enough leftover for another meal! The brisket was juicy and tender. It just fell apart in your mouth! Good bark, perfect smoke ring and just the right of smoke and flavor balance! The macaroni and cheese was delicious, and the Smokey beans were out of this world! We loved the atmosphere and the wait staff was friendly. We would definitely come back again!

Ist time trying the Frisco location. It was very good. Staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. The Brisket and Pulled Pork were phenomenal. As was the banana pudding.Great alternative to the longggggggggg lines at Hutchins.Parking: Shared parking lot with Hooters.

This place was awesome. Beautiful patio. Brisket was top of the line, jalapeño sausage is a must. Baked beans, Mac N Cheese fantastic. GM Greg introduced to what they had to offer and brought us a complimentary desert. All other employees greeted us with a smile. Again, we loved this place.

I’ve been waiting to try Tender Smokehouse for multiple years! I’ve gotten many recommendations since I first heard about them in Celina.I can’t speak highly enough about the customer service! From beginning to end you felt important while having lunch. Had a great discussion while ordering, the servers, all the way to discussions with the GM. And the vibes just felt like you were having a family home cooked meal.Now for the food.. jalapeño sausage was excellent. For the brisket, it was slightly lacking in the flavor but cooked well. The sauce wasn’t too great. I had to try all the sides. The beans A++, the mac & cheese were incredible! Potato salad was eh, and the pineapple slaw was just normal but with diced pineapples. Overall though the food was great! And the price insane, all that food & drink for $35?!?! Unheard of!But S/O to Gregg & his team! Can’t wait to visit again! And excited for the upcoming location in my hometown of Whitesboro.

Went here for the first time with a group of friends. Atmosphere and staff were wonderful. Food, on the other hand, had a lot to be desired. The brisket was very, very dry, and even the fatty sections were dry. The brisket didn't have great flavor, and it definitely needed sauce (which I don't like to use, but it was necessary here). The Mac and cheese was decent but nothing special, and while everyone raved about the banana pudding, my single serving had one slice of banana and one vanilla wafer, and the rest was just box flavored vanilla pudding. I was very disappointed in the food. They do have a full bar with lots of wine and spirit selections.If you are going there to try good Texas BBQ, please don't rate this place as Texas BBQ because it was far from it. Go up the street to Hutchins and get the real stuff.While I won't choose to go here again, if I'm in a group that has chosen this place, I would come back and maybe try the turkey or sausage.
