Maybe we went on an off day.
Was here with a larger group, around 12 people. The server wasn't very nice and didnt come to our table often enough to refill drinks. Water was empty, cocktails and beer were wanted. I mean yeah, different people want different drinks, that's how it works. Guess he wasn't happy catering to a large group or something. I don't think we were a loud group considering the restaurant already had a loud hum of the crowd was when we walked in.
The food was SALTY. Several people didn't finish their food because of it. I had the breakfast platter and the meats were also overcooked. The biscuits were good though. Unfortunately, we were all too polite to say anything cause the server was already annoyed with us for some reason and we just wanted to get out of there. He still got a tip cause we're not monsters.
Lots of people were in the restaurant so other people had good food and service, I'd assume.
I would never come back on my own volition based on this singular experience.

Valerie was amazing! Food and drinks were great 10/10! my husband and I will be back to try more of the menu!
I purchased a pick up order here for an early dinner. The honey dusted chicken tasted okay but they placed it on top of pickle slices so some of it was soggy instead of crispy. There were no eating utensils or napkins. I like to pick up sometimes and eat in a park. I had to go home since there were no eating utensils or napkins.

Must miss. Had the worst burger of my life here. Tired of all the facified decor restaurants with sub par food. If manger replies with proof showing they are not a Sysco or US food shop I'll gladly remove this, albeit true in every way review.

I used to really enjoy Tupelo Honey Cafe in Frisco, but unfortunately something has changed over timeâand not for the better.
This place once had an outstanding menu with genuinely great food, especially brunch. The removal of the eggs Benedict alone was a huge letdown, but several other solid options disappeared as well. Whatâs left barely qualifies as âbrunchâ anymore; the menu feels so stripped down that the word itself almost shouldnât be used.
My most recent experience sealed the deal. I ordered takeout and chose the bourbon peppercorn glazed meatloaf with two sides. Everythingâmeatloaf, potatoes, and Brussels sproutsâwas dumped into a single container. The heavy bourbon peppercorn glaze soaked into the sides, turning what should have been distinct flavors into a $20 mess. It honestly makes no sense why the sauce wouldnât be separated, or at the very least why the sides wouldnât be packaged on their own.
Another disappointment: they used to serve crackling potatoes, which were incredible. Now theyâve been replaced with fried cubed potatoes that taste like something straight out of a frozen fast-food bag. Itâs a clear downgrade in quality.
With how expensive dining out has become, experiences like this just arenât acceptable anymore. Sadly, Tupelo Honey Cafe is no longer worth the price, and I wonât be returning.

I enjoyed our visit here!! I give it a 5/5 however, be aware if youâre a true southerner the Mac & cheese may not be your thing. HOWEVER, our waiter was the sweetest! And I appreciate her being honest and accommodating!!
Moving on, we couldnât stop ordering the biscuits! So good especially with the honey they make/ have here !!! Mhm mhm mhm! Chicken & waffles! A must grab! My husband had the spicy chicken & waffle while I had the regular!

Tupelo Honey delivers an excellent take on Southern comfort food with an elevated, modern flair. I ordered the Original Fried Chicken with fried okra, and the chicken was absolutely on point â crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The okra was good, but in a restaurant that proudly represents Southern cooking, I would personally love to see fresh, hand-battered okra rather than frozen, pre-breaded. A small detail, but one that would truly take it to the next level.
That said, theyâve clearly mastered the Southern dining experience â warm, inviting, and done with care.
A huge shout-out to my server Maceyâ she was delightful, incredibly attentive, and brought such a positive, welcoming energy to the table. Her beautiful smile lights up the room, and her service was truly top-tier!
Overall, a fantastic spot that Iâll happily return to.

Wonderful dining experience! Food was AMAZING and the service was incredible. Affordable prices for a delicious meal. Will definitely be back soon and 10/10 recommend!
The quality of food is not worth the money. Tupelo Honey used to have great food, but the food is disappointing now. Looks like they don't get a lot of customers anymore either.
The sweet potato pancakes and mimosa flight were amazing
