Mr. RVA is back, in his home away from home, Plano, Texas! Now, you would think that I would look for a BBQ joint to highlight. Come on People! You know I can't rock the norm. Last night's dining experience took me to a restaurant, nestled in the heart of The Star, located in Frisco, Texas. This smooth locale specializes in Greek inspired cuisine. As I took in the Silver, White, and Navy Blue accents, I found that I was not only in a chic, Mediterranean style atmosphere, but also, surrounded by that of my favorite NFL team's rival colors, the Ehhh Dallas Cowboys. Yeah I said It...Do something! Hail To The Redskins! The vocal stylings of Nina Simone calmed me down a little as she whispered in my ear, "I Put A Spell On You." They are a local, family-owned and operated business established in 1994. On top of that, they have received top 10 Restaurant from USA Today. So, in my best Greek voice (eh hem...clears throat) K RVA, , Ziziki's. . Dolmades- Traditional grape leaves stuffed with seasonal rice, covered in Ziziki's famous Greek inspired sauce with a melange of Kalamata olives, tomatoes, and red onions. . Entree- Slow, cooked to perfection, bone-in Lamb Shank, accented by authentic Greek spices, in a red wine reduction, escorted by mashed potatoes, freshly grilled asparagus, in a plum tomato sauce. . No lie family, it still boggles my mind how much food you get with a LAMB SHANK. You better bring your "A-Game aka Appetite Game" when embarking upon that journey. . Wine Pairing- a glass of 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, "Tetramvthos" Achaia, Greece . Vasile- V! Thank you for your service and hospitality. Even though you're surrounded by Dallas Cowboy's paraphernalia, you're still cool in my book. Lol. It's a little pricey and not as poppin as other places at the Star but oh my goodness it is scrumptious. I truly haven't had anything that I didn't love. The Ziziki salad is my go to but the lamb and chicken items are all very good. If you're a sangria fan they have a great option and I believe it's on happy hour during the day. If you haven't had their baklava ice cream you need to ASAP!

Had a wonderful outdoor dinner with my wife and son. Ziziki's is fairly close to authentic Greek cuisine, with a few dishes having a slight fusion twist. Flaming saganaki was on point, dolmades were delicious and 3-dip platter was flavorful and addicting. Yes, prices are higher than what you will see at your local Greek spot in a strip mall, but The Star demands a higher price point. But, the highlight of our dining experience came from our server, Maurice. This guy made us feel so welcome, but what was more-impressive, was to see him running around being: server, bartender, bus boy and host. And despite playing all of these different roles, he never let customer service slip in managing our table. I truly wish to extend my thanks to Maurice for making our first dining experience at Ziziki's such a pleasurable experience.

Bartender was fun and friendly.

We had an excellent lunch here after trying the one on Travis Walk. It is very fresh tasting

Good food. Not thrilled that my lamb salad was not sliced lamb, yet a souvlaki on top of it. That's not what I've grown used to. And it does not make eating a salad easy as it is with the lamb that's already sliced and ready to go.

Great service but food is not that good especially for the price. Lamp chops were overcooked and dry.

Staff very friendly and very nice. The food is overprice : order the veggie pita with some potatoes and it was 18$. Veggies consisted of 4 pieces of oignions on piece of zucchini and 2 sad mushrooms. Like that's just a big no. A lamb salad for 21$ with low quality piece of lamb are not worth the quality they pretend they have, very disappointed in general

Never know what you will get. Their Open Table showed no openings. Tried calling and they wouldn’t even pick up the phone. The front desk at the Omni said they would have them call us. Never happened. We wanted to do the patio deal over looking the Star and decided just to chance it with Tri Tip as a backup. We walked in at 6:30 to an empty room. We got a table on the patio and got a real good waiter which is hit and miss. Food is over priced, but pretty good. Great patio but much better food at any of the other places at the Star

First time me and my husband came here for date night, our service with our waiter was pleasant we were the only people in the entire restaurant the whole time we were there which was a little odd but it was nice we had the place to ourselves. unfortunately we weren't impressed with the food..my husbands food was very dry way overcooked he ended up not being able to finish it, i felt a little bad i could tell he was struggling trying to eat it, I did enjoy the salmon but definitely was WAY overpriced! Glad we got to check out a new place but we won't be coming back.

The Greek Paella was not that good for $28. I just liked the meat but the rice was too greasy and lacked flavor.

Nice place. Clean. But there food was really bland. Good presentation, quality ingredients. A bit on the expensive side. The waiters were really sweet

The artichoke dip will make you want to lick the plate. All the food is great. I miss the tuna that the other location used to serve but the mushroom soup is amazing.
