⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars, Without Hesitation

I rarely give five stars across the board, but this Cracker Barrel truly earned every single one.

From the moment we walked in, we were treated with such kindness and care. The hostess, our waitress, the gentleman clearing tables, and even the ladies at the checkout counter in the store area all made my husband and me feel genuinely welcomed and seen. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it did not go unnoticed.

The food was absolutely delicious, comfort food done right, and we were pleasantly surprised when they let us know about the military discount, something our own local Cracker Barrel has never mentioned. That extra thoughtfulness meant a lot to us.
There is some construction happening on the main highway nearby, but honestly, it was a non issue. We simply turned around a bit early after missing our turn and had no problem getting right into the parking lot.

Because of the exceptional service and overall experience, this will now be our Cracker Barrel. Anytime we are driving through this area, we will stop here, no question.

Thank you to the entire team for going above and beyond. You turned a simple meal into a really meaningful, memorable experience.

What happened to the food ugh!! The carrots turned to mush. The Chicken and dumplings looked like the chicken was boiled to death, not rinsed off. The dumpling sauce was made with the same water the chicken was cooked in, cooked blood and all.
What happened to the Cracker Barrel quality control. May be the last time I eat there.

I never thought that we would ever come across the experience we had..
Waiting for a table for our party size wasn't bad. However, the service was horrible. First, asked for napkins. Never got them. Next, when ordering one of our friends wanted to have a side of bacon to go with their breakfast and was told that they couldn't do that. Then, our next friend asked that the grandma sampler come with an extra bacon to replace the ham. They were told that they either take the sampler as it was, or have the meat be all bacon. And then.... when getting the food... this was what really made it the absolute worse experience on top of what we already had going on. There were 8 of us... ok. 8. I understand busy, but not where 4 of us get food. Then more 3 of us finally got our food 20 minutes later... Now remember I said 8 of us... our last plate for our last person didn't get their food until 20 minutes after thar... Highly disappointed. We did speak to the manager, she apologized and gave a little discount. I believe we won't be coming back to any location.

We stopped in on the 30th of December and were greeted by Jessica, one of the most sweetest and caring person I have dealt with. Her personality is amazing-friendly, personable, smiling and happy to be at work. It’s evident she loves her job. You need more people like her. This is the Cracker Barrel in Gainesville, Tx off of 35.

I want say the service needed help. The server kept forgetting, and whoever plated the food did not know what they were doing. My sausage was lost under my pancakes.

I waited 20 minutes before being told they couldn’t make the dish I ordered because they were “out of mashed potatoes.”
The problem: Hashbrown Shepherd’s Pie does not use mashed potatoes. It uses hash browns. It’s in the name.
This wasn’t a supply issue; it was a basic failure to understand their own menu, compounded by the decision to let a customer sit for 20 minutes before saying anything.
No warning up front.
No apology.
No confidence that anyone there knew what they were doing.
I left without ordering anything. If a restaurant can’t accurately identify ingredients in a signature menu item or communicate availability before taking orders, that’s not a kitchen problem; it’s an operational breakdown.
Time wasted. Trust gone. Won’t be back.

My server was great but the food was so disappointing. The biscuits we undercooked, chicken soup super salty and the grilled chicken was rubbery. didn't even have the consistency of chicken. not really sure if it was. not sure what happened but would not recommend
