“Terrific place. If you live close by or are just passing through, it’s worth it. We sat at the bar (bartender was Tommye and she was great!) - great atmosphere. Had burgers - the Hellfire is amazing (aka Hellraiser). Kroots Lime Lite was a great drink as well. Nice getting something a little different. Lots to choose from and worth the stop, trust me! Can’t wait to come back.”

“Found our new burger joint. I wasn’t hungry enough for a burger so I got the texmex fried pie. Boyfriend got a burger and I was jealous. It looked awesome. Onion rings were also just as good as the rest of our meal. Will be coming back regularly.Parking: Ample parking. Truck parking also.”

“If you like amazing hidden gems and hole in the wall restaurants, then please. I beg of you, try this place. This place is just so exceptionally good I can’t recommend it enough. Despite being in the middle of a gas station, from the first bite I took of my chicken tikka masala, and my garlic naan, I felt like I was eating at a dinner table inside someone’s home. It’s so authentic. It feels like the owner is sharing a treasure trove of family history and culture all through his cooking. Not to mention he was hospitable, gave us free waters, and came to our table and briefly spoke with us when he wasn’t busy to see if we needed anything. I will absolutely be back. This place deserves to be its own free standing restaurant with reservations booked solid for weeks at a time. I truly believe this is the best food you can eat anywhere in the Gainesville area, and I’ve lived here almost 20 years.Indian Dhaba, I will absolutely be back.”

“It was a nice family restaurant. We went for lunch. Had catfish plate and chopped beef sandwich with okra. Catfish included baked potato, salad, toast and hush puppies. I’m pretty sure the tartar sauce was homemade. It was all delicious! Reasonably priced. Good service.Parking: Parking for trailers available.”

“It was dirty on the steel serving line. I have been coming here for years and never seen it this unkept. My friend and I let the manager know and it was wiped down immediately. He was amazing, very attentive to everyone in the restaurant. Good manager. Just caught the staff off guard.”

“I eat here all the time. Today we only had a short lunch at work and I came in with a pocket-full of orders from my coworkers shortly after Hippo opened their doors. The staff was awesome! They completed the orders quickly and with military precision asking to make sure everything was correct.They truly shined today”
