Restaurantji's Gainesville guide: Where to find the ultimate Mexican flavors. Enjoy the best Street Tacos, Chimichanga, Enchiladas, and more in the city.
“Very clean first off.Had the pepino Agua Fresca and Torta de Pastor and I have to say living in Denton this place puts all of those self professed "mexican" restaurants to shame. If you're looking for authentic flavors come here. If you want bland tasteless food go somewhere else.“
“They were very kind and welcoming immediately as we walked into the door. We got to choose where to sit which is great when you are with a service animal. Our waitress was so sweet and remembered everything we asked for. She even allowed me to speak some Spanish to her and she didn't bawk at me attempting to do so. The food was very good and it came out really fast. I had the flautas and they were hot and fresh. The rice was so good! My husband had the migas and they were good also. We will be coming back again. Thank you so much!“
“I would give 10 stars if I could!Fabulous food, amazing customer service. Love this tiny taco shop! What an awesome find! The owner has such a beautiful personality that she makes you want to see her on a daily basis. One of the best taco shops around. I'll definitely be back.“
“Love this place, it's of the path in a neighborhood but they are always busy. Breakfast food is very good, breakfast tacos are stuffed full, love the chorizo egg and cheese. Torta is good and caldo is wife's favorite but better order early before they run out, personally prefer the chicken over the beef. Not sure why I'm suggesting this cause they are out of the half the time, actually don't order the caldo. Brisket taco is good also. Prices are right and so are the portions. My only complaint would be that the red sauce is lame IMO, just tastes like canned tomatoes however everything else is great so 5“
“Goodness the queso was AMAZING!The building was clean, the service was good, the staff was friendly, the food was hot and fresh. The menu has plenty to choose from with good prices.Dietary restrictions: Plenty to choose from and the waitstaff will oblige requestsKid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: easy single story access“
“Stopped here on our way home from Oklahoma. Never ate at a Taco Casa before and was pleasantly surprised for a fast food taco joint! The burritos were huge and really good. I also had a taco ? which was also good with a really fresh taco shell. There seems to be several Taco Casa's popping up all over the place. I'll be a return patron at the location near my home or when I'm out and about in surrounding cities where they have one.“
“El Tapatio has two locations in Gainesville. This one is near I35 frontage road. The food was great, the service was good for the large party we had. The dining area just seemed poorly lit. Could have been an individual perspective thing, but I felt like I needed the flashlight on my phone to read the menu. Everything else was good. Floors clean, not loud, good staff, easy to understand menu, good service.“
“Best quesabirria tacos I’ve ever had and we’ve tried so many different places from all over the U.S! Can’t beat their prices and the amount of food they serve! Very friendly and clean environment! Will definitely be back! Truckers paradise for food!“
“I door dashed these tacos to my work. Some of the best tacos I have ate. The sauce was amazing. I ordered the beef fajita and chicken tacos. True street style and they even include radish slices with it. The rice and beans great. I ate it all so fast, I didn't take any pictures.“
“Our favorite Tex-Mex in Gainesville, one of our favorite restaurants period. The servers know our order when we walk in, even if we don't go for a while. The wife and I always get the Enchiladas Rancheras but swap out queso for the ranchera sauce. So good. The choriqueso is a hot with the whole family as well.“
“We loved this little unassuming spot. We went based on the reviews on Google. The food was amazing and the staff so sweet and efficient. The owner is a wonderful lady and had a great personality. We will definitely be back. We had the sour cream chicken enchiladas and a giant steak amd mushroom burrito. Both tasted amazing!Parking: It's in a shopping center. Lots of spots“
