About Rumpy's

Rumpy's is a restaurant known for its delicious pies, pastries, and cookies. Popular items include strudel, fried pies, and kolaches. The individual-sized pastries are incredibly rich and intensely flavored, especially the Death By Chocolate. The blueberry cake loaf is amazing, especially when warmed up and paired with ice cream. The cream cheese strudel has a soft, flaky crust and a fluffy, sweetened filling. The German sausage kolaches have a crunchy casing and a hint of spiciness, with a slight sweetness to the bread. They also offer a pizza praised as some of the best, borderline perfect, reminiscent of Chicago-style pizza. The bakery has a great selection of fresh bread, sausages, and cheeses, plus clean restrooms. The store has plenty of parking, but the construction in the area can make it challenging to enter from certain directions. Rumpy's has a souvenir area with items for kids, and the bread is worth taking home. It's the perfect little stop when traveling on the highway.

There is not a single price tag on all your products inside the store except for the bakery. It’s very frustrating and inconvenient for the public to not know how much a water is or a coffee. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I would never ever ever recommend this establishment to anybody.

We paid $17 for an apricot pie and it was the worst pie we’ve ever eaten! We had to throw it away. So much for our Christmas pie.😟😟😟

Just completed eating a "cherry" Strudel from Rumpy's. There wasn't one single cherry in it.
