This was a great choice. It was a late lunch, so there wasn't anyone else there. It's really colorful and attractive. The service was excellent and the food very, very good. I had the chicken in mole sauce with refried beans and surprisingly good rice (I always feel that rice is the weak thing at Mexican restaurants). Just happened upon this place when looking for Mexican food near our lodging. Really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and great service. Has a genuine family-owned feel to it. Every food item we tried was great and prices quite reasonable. Will definitely visit again when in Galveston.
The food was really good and so was the service. The atmosphere however seems cold and empty. There’s no music and the building itself seems like a warehouse so it echos a bit but it didn’t take away from our experience
