“Thank you Don and staff for making our wedding day unforgettable with our favorite dishes. The presentation was beautiful and our guests enjoyed everything.”
“I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience tonight at Shearn’s Moody Gardens. The food was delicious but far more than that, the service was exceptional. We were greeted by Byron, who is the epitome of elegance and ambience for a fine dining experience. He was gracious and welcoming. Our waiter, Mark, went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable, pleasant and enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable regarding the wine selections and food, what pared well together and what best suited our tastes. He was charming and charismatic, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. He really added such a wonderfully engaging and entertaining element to our dining tonight. I was visiting with my granddaughter for the weekend and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We also noticed how well the entire staff coordinated efforts to serve each table in order to ensure the highest level of service and support. Thank you for a lovely evening and wonderful meal!”
“Simply amazing, this steakhouse rivals any top tier steakhouse of Major cities across the USA. We visited from Dallas before a cruise 🛳 and stumbled upon this gem of the island. drinks were tasty, food was cooked superbly, sides were massive family style, and dessert 🍨 to die for. they do enforce dress code but that only adds to the ambience of the experience. let's be frank, be a grown up and dress for the occasion. (added this since there were so many salty reviews about the dress code)”
“This is a hidden gem! You will find the most interesting and delicious drinks in Galveston at the Pineapple Parlor. Each drink is paired with one of their tiki style appetizers and they are all unique and tasty. Their pu pu platter is amazing! It is a set price of $70, but with 6 of us, it was PLENTY............especially since you are also getting food pairings with your drinks. If you want a table, make a reservation as it is very limited; however, there's room at the bar!”

“They have many gluten free items on their menu and the staff is very knowledgeable about celiac disease. The customer service and care was outstanding. I was attending a large private party with a buffet. They prepared a gluten free dinner just for me. I will be back.”
“We attended my nieces basketball banquet upstairs on Sunday and all of the food was delicious! Excellent customer service as well, we will definitely be back!”

“Vida Agave catered an engagement party for us yesterday and everything was spectacular. They arrived in the morning to set up, and came back an hour and a half before the party started to deliver the food which was fresh, hot and delicious. Thank you, Vida Agave!!”

“Very cute place very touristy spot tho, I would recommend going weekdays because we went on a weeknd and it was so crowded you can bearly walk around and look. The ice cream was so good it was a must get 10/10 the service was 6/10 maybe the attitude was because of how many people they had to deal with so it could've been better. Great ice cream tho!”
“The hospitality was superb! The beer was fabulous! If you’re not a beer drinker, they have wine as well. If you need a snack or anything to eat, just order it from Coastal Grill across the street and they will deliver it. We will definitely be going back and I recommend this to anyone.”
“This cafe/bakery has been my favorite place to eat and have a nice drink in Galveston for a few years now. The service is great, the food is always delicious, the drinks are wonderful and the bakery is the best! I love coming to visit Galveston and ALWAYS stop in when we're there!!”
“This is a great little place to eat!! I had grilled shrimp taco's and they were wonderful.! The other dishes that were ordered were just as good! Hamburger steak, pizza, grilled chicken po boy. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the price was just as accommodating as the food was!”
“What a fabulous little gem of a restaurant. The food is to die for — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff couldn’t be kinder; they make you feel right at home and always go the extra mile.”
“The second you walk into Rudy & Pacos you feel like family and the staff really give you that great southern hospitality. The atmosphere, food, and drinks are top tier and coming from NYC this made me feel right at home with the tasty food and attentive service. I would recommend the Vuelva a la Vida if you enjoy seafood and angel hair pasta, for some hearty fuel to keep your trip in Galveston going. Thank you to the staff for making our dinner extra special with their amazing service ❤”

“Okay, so I was really tempted to gatekeep this little find, but it wouldn't be fair to y'all or the hardworking Sky Bar staff! Seriously, some of the best sushi and cocktails we have had - and we eat out A LOT! The Happy Hour is wonderful because it's a late HH from 5-10. I am a crab ragoon connoisseur, and they have, bar none, THE BEST! Our server, Seth, was spot on. He said he had only been there a few weeks, but you wouldn't know based on his high service level. Seth was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. The manager, Robert, made several stops by our table and the other guests to check on everything. He jumped in and helped servers as needed. We are in Galveston every month or so, and will definitely be will definitely be adding Sky Bar to our restaurant stops. Looking for a later Happy Hour, fabulous food and terrific service? Head to Sky Bar!”
“A few dozen oysters were had tonight—all fabulous. But my faves were something I’ve never had before: The BBQ oysters with house-made blue cheese dressing. Just delicious. I couldn’t decide which type of mussels—fra diablo or the pesto chardonnay—so I ordered them both. I was not disappointed. Ask for the garlic bread. OMG. Chef Megan and Brenna took great care of us. It was nice to see David too! 10 out of 10 for food, service, and company.”
“Aimee, our server, made this dining experience a wonderful time! Her guidance on meal and dessert selections was outstanding! She took our couple’s picture on the outside deck and it will be in our special photos album! Her caring service throughout the meal made this a top notch experience! Thank you so much! Sizzling grouper platter and butternut crab bisque were delicious!”
“Busy and bright. We shared a Northern Salad, the Branzino with Romesco & grilled asparagus.
Truly amazing. I rarely say that when I eat out. I would definitely add this to my Galveston trips.
The menu was priced well with many beautiful options. We were both extremely pleased.”
“I had the Steakhouse Skewer with lobster, filet mignon, and colossal shrimp. It was fabulous, but next time my husband and I will share it. So much food! We were staying at another resort and had no way to take home the leftovers. Our waiter, Ricardo, was absolutely amazing. He made everything so wonderful. My only complaint, which is huge, is about the majority of the clientele. Loud, obnoxious, men wearing backwards caps and shorts in a very elegant atmosphere. When i go to a rather expensive restaurant, I would expect to see better behavior. So many were acting like it was a sports bar.”

“We did an online order and when we got home it was wrong. I called the store and Tiffany the manager apologized 3 times and replaced the entire meal and even threw in some other freebies. Her and her staff staff were so nice and polite. You dont get hospitality like that alot now days. Thank your entire team for a great experience.”

“Hands down best place on the island!!!! We were craving pho and Omgsh the Smoked Brisket Pho is out of this world! Best broth I’ve ever had. Chicken wings with homemade sauce 100. Owner Spike is super friendly and passionate about his career and offerings. This place is not to be missed”
“BEST brisket tacos, charro beans & rice, salsa & queso, and margaritas I’ve ever had!!! I’m a native Texan and Mexican food devotee, this place is truly amazing. Absolute perfection, wonderful service from Greg and worth making a trip to Galveston just to eat here. I rarely leave reviews but really want to return here for another BEST meal!”
“Our family was looking for a good place to have lunch before heading to the cruise ship. Let me just say that we were not expecting such a great eating experience. The food at Coop’s is absolutely delicious. Fall off the bone ribs, super tender brisket, great side , and the best banana pudding I have ever tasted. The prices were very reasonable with large portions. Highly recommend you give this play a try.”

“Just a fantastic place all around, and a very beautiful place to have in Galveston.”

“Pretty cool Irish pub with lots of character. You absolutly get the Irish pub vib traditional look. Not a place if your a non smoker. Bree ( like the cheese ) very cool bartender, very tentative towards all customers and handles the enebrated ones very well also. Cheers!”
“Stopped by on the way home from our anniversary trip and was pleasantly surprised. I drink ALOT of coffee and try every place I can and I can honestly say this is hands down the best coffee I have ever had!! Will def be coming back anytime we are in Galveston!!”
“Island Time became our watering hole on our recent vacation and we were so happy with our experience. The staff was amazing, especially Julie and Josh, the drinks were fantastic, the food was your typical bar food but it was good, and the drag show was entertaining. The only negative that our group had to say was that the drag performers were a little too push for tips; literally putting their hand in front of you for a tip. This happened a few times to us, and others, and when we tipped them one of them rolled their eyes and said “that’s it”. Other than that, we had a great time and would totally go back to this fun and welcoming place.”
“We were in Galveston for the weekend and looked online to get some food reviews. All the reviews for Good Dough were amazing and we couldn’t wait to try the food. We were not disappointed. Loved everything we tried. We were there 2 days in a row. Two different workers helped us and both were friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go back!”

“Let me tell you about my evening at the Shrimp Shack in Galveston—it was the kind of experience that makes you want to write poetry about fried seafood. The shrimp? Perfectly golden, crispy, and so fresh I swear they waved at me from the fryer. Each bite was like a little crunchy hug from the Gulf. And as if that wasn’t enough, the sunset decided to show off. Sitting there, stuffing my face with fried shrimp while the sky turned shades of pink and orange, I felt like I’d hit the jackpot of simple pleasures. Shrimp, sunset, and sea breeze—what more could you want? Highly recommend. 10/10, would shrimp again.”
“@redlightcoffeeroasters in Galveston, TX 🚨 Located on Market St. near where the cruise ships come in and out of port, it has easy access via a door at the top of the steps. 🚨 I fell in love with the vibe as soon as i walked in.. ALL of the island/port/industrial vibes are there from the pipe/edison bulb fixtures to the numerous thriving plants. 🚨I ordered my usual “hi! Ive never been here before, so will you please surprise me? I drink decaf, iced beverages, with non-dairy creamer.. i have no allergies and i love everything!” (Believe it or not i can tell if im going to get a good drink or not based on the barista’s reaction to this order—and i KNEW i would get a good one here.. its something about the way their eyes light up with excitement when you give them the creative freedom to make you something so delicious that you want to return for another coffee the next day). 🚨 I ended up with an iced down cup full of decaffeinated oatmilk goodness… with just the right amount of ice. Not so much that it was watered down by the end, but not so little that the last sip was hot either. Just the right amount of sweetness (which for me is in the middle).. literally the PERFECT cup of coffee… 🚨 10/10 you gotta come down here if you’re in Galveston! I will definitely be back here several times, and will probably snag one of those awesome shirts! #redlightcoffeeroasters #galveston #traveltexas”
“Time to be a kid again! This is a self serve frozen yogurt place with all the toppings you can think of for a delicious dessert. I picked coconut pineapple and strawberry covered with cherries jellybeans and sharks. Probably the best yogurt I have ever eaten in my life. The staff was super friendly and gave us samples. This is the stuff I remember back in the 90s....yum meeee!!!!!”
“Clean, vast array of products, owners invest in business adding more to offer customers, and friendly staff. My go-to for last minute miscellaneous household items and snacks for our family in the local area.”
“Best Italian food my husband and I have ever had. Beautiful views from our table. Service was impeccable!”
“We ate at Landry's in Galveston yesterday for dinner. Evan had waited on us before ....THE best waiter ever! He was very professional and attentive. We sure hope we luck out again next time.”
“We enjoyed dinner here after taking a dolphin tour. Beautiful outdoor dining experience and received amazing service from Gianni!”
“Great service is hard to find in today’s world. We found it at Nick’s! What friendly staff we had! Attentive and warm. And the food was fantastic!”

“I have visited Murdoch for years visiting in Galveston, Texas. The store is nice. The prices are reasonable however, their store policy before closing time they stop letting customers enter 15 minutes before when the store is not officially close., if a merchant says they are open till 7 PM. The door should be open till 7 PM but they close the doors on customers and turn them away., they only open the doors to allow customers in the store to leave. Bad business Murdoch your customers are what make you and if someone has to enter for whatever reason whether it’s water or to use the lady or men’s room, it should be allowed until 7 PM”

“I have been to Las Lazos numerous times and have always enjoyed the food. Went last evening for my birthday and had excellent service from Carolina. We each had a wine margarita which was very good. We ordered Tilapia Chipotle which had a tasty shrimp sauce and a side of Charro beans. I tried Taquitos Chilango with Charro beans for the first time. Will definitely order this dish again. Finished with freshly made Churros and Sopapillas. Have dined there about once a month because the food is fresh and well-prepared. They have karaoke night every Friday for those who can (or cannot) sing.”

“This cafe/bakery has been my favorite place to eat and have a nice drink in Galveston for a few years now. The service is great, the food is always delicious, the drinks are wonderful and the bakery is the best! I love coming to visit Galveston and ALWAYS stop in when we're there!!”
“Just the ambiance I've been looking for on the Island. The dim lighting, wine glasses and candles illuminating every table created an elegant vibe. It's romantic, warm, and still accommodating for larger groups. The vibe feels elevated, but relaxed. I made a reservation but I didn't need to. If you're familiar with this time of year on the island, it's usually a bit of a ghost town. We parked directly in front of the restaurant and the hostess immediately greeted and seated us. She even recognized my name from the reservation list which was a nice touch.”

“If you’re in Galveston for vacation or a local. I highly recommend Hendley Wine Co! Staff was very friendly and super knowledgeable about the wine they serve. There was a story for each wine which we really appreciated. I suggest you sit at the bar if possible and engage with the owner and the stories he has to tell. If you love wine, this is the place to go. We did not get to sample the food but witnessed people coming in to purchase to go food, so it must be good!”
“Very friendly staff, good food, and comfortable setting! Great place for meeting up with friends. The food wasn't exactly to my taste, which is why I gave it 4 stars, but that's not to say I won't be back.
Give Nifany a try if you are in the area! Excellent stop in Galveston, a little quieter and off the beaten path”
“Could not more highly recommend this place! The customer service was phenomenal & the food was delicious! I had it a few times while I was in Galveston this week. I had two breakfast and a lunch.
The Breakfast tacos were so good. The tortillas had to be homemade and it showed! The Chicken and waffles were awesome and the Burger I had was INSANE. So good, you gotta try it!
Such a cool little spot on that side of the island! 🏝”
“Love this place. I’m always helped by the same lady (I think she said her name started with an S but my ears are clogged lol) and she is wonderful. Service from her feels like going to Nonna’s house when you’re 5. Pretzels are made to order so they take a minute but that’s no big deal for me, it’s worth them being super fresh IMO!
Don’t order online, they don’t really do that at this location.”
“The service was not good. The girl that waited on us seem like she didn’t want to be there. We ordered our pizza at 9:07 pm and did not receive it till 9.50 pm. There was a family there before us that was still waiting on their ice cream. I ordered and went to the front desk and came back and they still had not had their ice cream.. Finally, some other people came into the back and things seem to get a little better. They finally ask us what kind of pizza we were waiting on like maybe they had lost our order. Then finally after that, we got our pizza and and we went back to our room to eat. And it was actually pretty good.
And as far as the hotel goes, it was not as great as I expected it to be after waiting all these years to stay there. For the money I paid I expected a little more. I have got better satisfaction out of lower end hotel chains. But that’s for another review somewhere else but overall the main reason we stayed was for the Christmas light experience and Iceland, which we enjoyed very much.”
“This is our favorite place for brunch when we are visiting the island. The biscuits with maux choux gravy are to die for. The staff is always very friendly.”
