I am a crab ragoon connoisseur, and they have, bar none, THE BEST! Our server, Seth, was spot on. He said he had only been there a few weeks, but you wouldn't know based on his high service level. Seth was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. The manager, Robert, made several stops by our table and the other guests to check on everything. He jumped in and helped servers as needed. We are in Galveston every month or so, and will definitely be will definitely be adding Sky Bar to our restaurant stops. Looking for a later Happy Hour, fabulous food and terrific service? The Brisket Grilled Cheese is arguably my favorite sandwich in Galveston. Smoked brisket, barbecue sauce, and cheese toasted up perfectly golden brown and served with a side of fries? To be completely transparent I always have leftovers, but it isn’t for lack of trying. That sandwich is so delicious.

I’ve also heard amazing things about their brisket deviled eggs and Bloody Marys, but I have a singular mindset when it comes to their menu and will likely never stray from Galveston’s best sandwich. Also, the employees are some of the nicest humans you will ever meet. I always enjoy running into them, whether it’s here, at trade shows, or when they’re volunteering their time with the Galveston Chamber of Commerce.“

“I have visited Murdoch for years visiting in Galveston, Texas. The store is nice. The prices are reasonable however, their store policy before closing time they stop letting customers enter 15 minutes before when the store is not officially close., if a merchant says they are open till 7 PM. The door should be open till 7 PM but they close the doors on customers and turn them away., they only open the doors to allow customers in the store to leave. Bad business Murdoch your customers are what make you and if someone has to enter for whatever reason whether it’s water or to use the lady or men’s room, it should be allowed until 7 PM“

“Bartender Sarah was so great! My fiance and I were nervous about coming into a smaller bar as a lesbian couple & were worried we would be treated dismissively, but it was in fact the opposite! Sarah showed us around the back deck (which was so spacious btw) and made top notch drinks. We really enjoyed coming here and may make it our new close to home bar!
