“Had lunch there on Tuesday. Our server, Celine, was very gracious and attentive. She explained several menu items and brought drinks and appetizers quickly. Food was excellent and experience was great.“

“A party of 6 for breakfast on a Sunday. Our server was Carsen, he was super courteous and always with a big smile. The food, we had Avocado Toast, it was tasty but not the best thing at the table. Crab cakes sandwich it was really good, the burgers it is something special!!! The skillet was definitely a contender for best dish at our table and the tuna salad was really good. But the BEST thing was the Blueberry Pancakes!!!! Funny thing, the coffee took some time to get to the table because… they didn’t have enough cups! It wasn’t a big deal. Overall had a great time, really good food, and good service. Definitely coming back to try other things in the menu“

“Arrived at 2pm for lunch. Parking limited but was able to park in their lot. Waited 10 min for a table w/ great view of gulf. Interior very nice. Waitress was excellent. Food came quickly and perfect temperature. Had their $15.95 lunch special ($13.95 if 65). Had the grilled fish and chicken fried steak. Everything was very good. Highly recomend.“

“The Food was SO good. We sat at the front outdoor patio area, facing the beach. I got the Salmon, and my husband got the Gumbo. Both were absolutely amazing. In our opinion the best Gumbo we’ve had. Our waiter was very nice, but we did keep running out of our soda, and tea, so that was disappointing. We did get the spinach and artichoke with crab dip. It was very tasty.“

“Waterman’s has excellent food, and great service/staff. We’ve been three times in the past few months, and each time we’ve left, we’ve been more impressed with the food. We have young children, and have been to Waterman’s with friends with little ones as well, and the staff always goes out of their way to make us comfortable. “Just went to Captain Ceviche for lunch after fishing all morning here in Galveston. I’m originally from southern Cali now north a Texan. This is the best Marisco spot I have tasted that is like Southern Cali/ Mexican Baja California Marisco. “Doesn't look like much from the outside, so I had a bit of sticker shock when I saw the menu prices ($13 hamburger, $11 chicken fingers), but the food was EXCELLENT. The popcorn shrimp was some of the best I've had on the island, the feta burger and fries were delish, and the chicken quesadillas were the tastiest we've ever had. Chips and salsa were also good.“

We ordered the chicken quesadillas and they had such wonderful flavor. Yes they have some amazing looking seafood on the menu but the quesadillas are the best we’ve had in Galveston. Working with management at hospitals you learn to see how True Leaderships makes a facility flow with ease and peace, and I say that to say that Byron is a leader. He is the manager of Shearn seafood and steakhouse, but with amazing leaderships skills. He was attentive and he was serving with the servers.. which says a lot about how he manages things. I’ve never met a manager who serves with the servers and is at attentive as Byron was, and I’ve been around to plenty “exquisite” restaurant to see who truly is doing a wonderful job and who just does what they’re paid for.
