We visited the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa and got a bonus of seeing the Gunilla which was in Port. We talked to a couple of the Elissa crew who just graduated from school and would be a part of her crew that will take her out to sea.The Gunilla has students from Sweden learning how to sail the open ocean. We didn't get to experience all of the places that Pier 21 had to offer so I can't comment too much. We were there for the Dolphin Watch excursion so we just walked around for a little bit to sight see. It was very clean and not as busy. Parking was $20 max but compare to other cities, it's not that bad for a day parking. The public bathroom was a little hard to find, but ask for direction and you'll get there. I stayed at the hotel in Pier 21 and walked around the pier for a while it's a great place to try delicious food and a good place to stay if you have a cruise that leaves from that port. I would definitely recommend a visit.
