We stopped here after seeing its excellent Trip Advisor reviews. It did not disappoint! Gumbo, good. Fried okra and pickles, good. All the kids meals were good. We will definitely come back when we are in town again.Parking: Parking is available behind the restaurant or on the street.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu wasn't online but they have the standard burger, tenders, Mac & cheese plus shrimp option.
Food and service were outstanding. The portions were huge but the price didn't reflect that. The atmosphere was a typical diner feel, but the food was NOT typical diner food. My four kids usually make some comment about what they didn't like when we go out to eat, but not this time.

Such a great little spot, I make sure to stop in when visiting Galveston to have breakfast (or this time just get some beignets to go!). The food is always delicious. I do wish the parking was better though.
