I had the gumbo and highly recommend it. The gumbo comes in two sizes, big daddy and little daddy. The little daddy was more than enough for me. It's served with a scoop of steamed rice on top. The roux is dark and tasty. You can choose seafood or chicken/sausage gumbo. We also had the beignets; fresh from the fryer and covered in powdered sugar. Another notable item for breakfast is the chicken and waffles. The service was great.

Came here on April 16th for dinner. I have to admit, we're weren't completely hungry due to the fact of how much we were served for lunch. My fiancé ordered the shrimp and grits, and my mom and i shared a crayfish and fish po'boy. We each ordered a coleslaw. I wasn't a big fan of the coleslaw because I felt it tasted bland. My fiancé shrimp and grits were very good. The shrimp tasted fresh, and the grits were amazing. It honestly tasted just like the one I ordered in New Orleans. The po'boy was chuck full of meat, and it was pretty good. The portions were very worth the price.

This was our second pass at eating here. The first time I ordered the pancakes and they were okay but I don't like them sweetened with vanilla. So after eating breakfast many places in Galveston and unable to find good biscuits, I thought I'd give it a second try. Boy am I glad I did. They were fluffy and delicious. Cream gravy great also. The omelets were also good. But, I will be back for the biscuits.

Ate there today with my twin (4-13-24) and the waitress was on the ready as soon as we walked in. She made sure we had everything before the slaughter began. Sweet tea was the best I've had at any restaurant. Oysters, fish, shrimp, and fries where fried to perfection. Coleslaw was perfect. This is what I was looking for in Galveston. Shout out to the staff, owner, etc.

Such a great little spot, I make sure to stop in when visiting Galveston to have breakfast (or this time just get some beignets to go!). The food is always delicious. I do wish the parking was better though.

We stopped here after seeing its excellent Trip Advisor reviews. It did not disappoint! Gumbo, good. Fried okra and pickles, good. All the kids meals were good. We will definitely come back when we are in town again.Parking: Parking is available behind the restaurant or on the street.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu wasn't online but they have the standard burger, tenders, Mac & cheese plus shrimp option.
