I finally checked this place out a short time ago and I will most def be going back. Cool dive bar frequented mostly by locals. Good service and good prices. They're bar stetches across almost the entire width of the inside of the building, (it's big so plenty of seating). They also have a pool table, game machines a decent amount of TV's and a pretty good size lounge area. Definitely worth stopping in if you like the dive bar atmosphere.

We had a birthday party for a friend who turned 70. The Hurricane II was perfect, since it started out as two bars. One side has the bar and the other side just has tables / chairs. They open at noon and we quickly setup all the party balloons . Domestic cans were only $2 during Happy Hour and $2.50 afterwards. We had a great time and the bartender was very responsive to our drink refills. Next time we are in Galveston, we will definitely stop by the Hurricane
