“Visiting Galveston for a few days and wanted some oysters! This place did not disappoint! Friendly staff and atmosphere! Food was amazing! Best seafood gumbo I’ve had and oysters were very clean!Parking: Convenient paid parking on the street, parking lots and parking garage nearby. Very economical!“
“We were a party of 7. Saw the reviews and decided to give them a shot. Called and asked if there was a wait and was told no, so we headed that way. Got a call 5 minutes later stating that they had a table already set for us. Wow!Our waiter (forgot his name ?♂️) was polite and thorough. Food was priced very fairly and everyone enjoyed what they ordered (gumbo, bacon wrapped shrimp, bourbon street, shrimp platter, etc.) While waiting for our food, noticed that the GM seems to have a problem with our waiter. Actually told him to “leave and come back with a better attitude”. News to us, as he seemed very pleasant….?♂️ This exchange took place next to the order pick up window which was right in the seating area. The manager approached them and they all went to the back. The situation was handled very well from that point forth. Everyone returned to their job shortly thereafter. (Even the GM who continued with doing absolutely nothing productive). In conclusion, food was great, service was great and glad they had at least one competent person in house to handle the GM’s compete lack of care. You have a staff that seems to work well together (outside of the GM) and solid food. Don’t jeopardize it.I’ll be glad to discuss our overall experience more in depth with an owner.“
“This restaurant is the best Mexican restaurant in Houston and the surrounding areas. When you visit please try the birria tacos and the casa agave fries. I rarely leave reviews but this restaurant took me down memory lane. It brought childhood memories of me being back home.Everything was superb including the waiter, staff and the welcome atmosphere. If you want to feel like home come here. You will not leave disappointed.“
“Come here for the first time today and man was it nice. First off I love the atmosphere and character of the old building. They have it fixed nicely both outside and in. It’s somewhat small inside but feels very comfortable they have quite a bit of seating outside too. I had the pasta and shrimp and it was delicious. My wife ordered the shrimp and grits and really liked it also. We will definitely be coming back soon.“
“Loved this place. Had a great vibes. Happened to be in Galveston for a few days and stumbled upon this place because of the open mic night. Had a super fun time and the open mic was really good. part of what my Galveston experiences so good. I will definitely stop back in next time im in Galveston.“

“Great gift shop, great drinks and the cashier was so kind to my grandson, she let him pick out some candy and said it was "on her" because he was "such a good boy" by her words. Would definitely go back if I was ever in the area again.“
“What a fun little piano bar. Everybody here is just fantastic the attitude is amazing and if you have the opportunity to go out back to the garden definitely go check it out It is the coolest place sit down and play Jenga You will not be disappointed. Will definitely be coming out again especially for the piano at night. The lady behind the bar is a goddess“
“dude overcharged me for my order and i didnt realize it until i got home and i returned to the place and told him about it and he automacially knew me and honestly paid me back. AMERICA yes!! i promote this mans business in the name of honesty...something Galvetson has been missing.“
“Absolutely enjoyed this little bar I can imagine you guys will be super busy in the next few days! But our bar guys were awesome! Aka (bill an Ted) stay tubular lol!Kid-friendliness: Fishing piers and overlooks for kids and adults to look out over the gulf!“
“I don't typically review bars but this was a cool little spot for a late night game of pool and drinks. We got 2 great drinks for 11 dollars... that's incredible. I had the Mexican candy drink which was amazing. The bartenders name escapes me but she was cool and friendly. Love that it feels so homey and comfy with the little lounge area that I understand is a new edition.I would definitely return if i was in the area again!.“
“Great spot! Quiet and moody, old world style with heavy woods and wonderful interior design. We stopped in on Sunday and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. We opted for the cheese pizza and a beer and weren't disappointed. The only thing of note is that they don't offer frozen drinks. Other than that, wonderful experience.“
“The Daiquiri Time Out is SO cute with pink booths, adorable wallpaper, green bar stools...tons of cocktail options at a GREAT price. My mom and I tried 2 cocktails each-the classic Daiquiri, the Hemingway Daiquiri, the Queen's Park Swizzle (my fave!). Looks like they have a great happy hour as well. Will definitely stop by again when I visit Galveston!“
“That fondue was a meal all by itself with how amazing it is. Of course it's best when sharing with others so you can enjoy the fish platter options they have.Portions are huge for what you pay so it's worth it for the taste. Our waiter was really cool and everything looked well kept like the seating and ladies bathroom.I came from Houston to visit a festival and happy I took a chance with this place. ?“
“July 21, 2023I've lived here 10 years, and it took my love for the Barbie doll to bring me in!Tonight, Diana had a Barbie party ( the movie opened in theaters today) We paid to be VIP's so, we got food, champagne, and a cute flamingo make-up bag. Included was a fashion show, shopping, music, and cocktails. My friend bought us blue champagne; I've never seen nor had that before - it was tasty!Cute little boutique with a bar ran by Diana and her husband, both of whom are very sweet. Support and buy local“
“Excellent choice for adult or family friendly fun! The food was excellent and at a decent price point. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have live music and the cherry on top was the unlimited arcade games that kept my kids entertained for hours! Highly recommend and has become a new staple for our family trips.“
“Val is a great bartender she was super busy and let me know it would be a minute before she can get my drink which is nice I didn't feel ignored. She's really funny and nice and made me feel welcome! I'm from out of town and she's super sweet love this bar definitely will come back to see her. Good people and great Atmosphere! If your looking for a small lil dive bar this is the place to be. Also it was my birthday great time thank you Val“
“A great little biker bar type bar to get a couple drinks on the water (basically anyways, the road is between the place and the beach). The bartender gave great service and helped us out with suggesting we go eat at Nicks and it was great! Thanks!“
“One of my coworkers recommended this place since we work nearby and I just recently moved to Houston.I can say it's become one of my favorite spots. A few of us stop in after we get back from work every month. Nice music and general vibe.“
“Only here for our first afternoon in Galveston. Dropped in for a few drinks. Very friendly neighborhood bar. Honest bar. "Got white wine?" " Yes, but its terrible." Gin and tonics were great. Learned of a second bar - same owner. We'll be there another day.Parking: Street parking. We were there mid day on Wendnesday. Perhaps a challenge on weekends.“
“Had a great time. Food was amazing. We were full after the appetizer, so we went back later for the main course. It was busy, so we sat at the bar. Watching the bar tender make drinks was entertaining! She was very personable and made sure our drinks were full.“
“We were on the lookout for a nightcap when we found the Union Public House and we're so glad we did! The bar was spacious, clean and the music was on point! From what we heard, the bar has only been open since October but things were running so smoothly you would've never known they were new. We had tequila shots (our anniversary special) and a glass of wine that were very fairly priced. The guy behind the counter was wonderful and very attentive, always around but not pushy. The bathroom was clean and stocked. We left before the live music started but we saw them setting up. This bar seems to have everything you would need for a good time, will definitely be back on our next trip to Galveston!“
“We had a birthday party for a friend who turned 70. The Hurricane II was perfect, since it started out as two bars. One side has the bar and the other side just has tables / chairs. They open at noon and we quickly setup all the party balloons . Domestic cans were only $2 during Happy Hour and $2.50 afterwards. We had a great time and the bartender was very responsive to our drink refills. Next time we are in Galveston, we will definitely stop by the Hurricane“
“No food service anymore, but that's heavily outweighed by the bartenders I've met here. Specifically Starr and Stacy, amazing atmosphere and phenomenal service. I usually end up there when Ms. Starr is working, and she is polite and attentive to her customers. 10/10 would recommend to all my friends.“
“This place is a Galveston staple. Great bartenders, creative cocktails, free pool, and shuffleboard. There is a reason Market Station is packed most nights. Anybody with something negative to say has a fundamental misunderstanding with what kind of bar this is. THERE IS NO TABLE SERVICE. I know I personally bring anyone who visits me on the island here.“
“Came here on vacation for the last day of our honeymoon. What’s great place! Beautiful view and the bartenders were so much fun! Great recommendations of things to do for us, and they were genuinely interested in us having a good time. Even put our games for NFL Sunday on for us. Atmosphere was fun watching the game with Texans fans. Will come back when we are in town again! Thank you for a great time!“
“This was a great place my granddaughter and I were on a little excursion, we decided to ride to Galveston for the day and we went to a couple bars and this place was just a small little bar and the atmosphere was very good the bartender was extremely nice and the people that were in there were great to it was early do it wasn’t very crowded but it was perfect. We r grieving over some passing of close family members so we just wanted to sit and enjoy ourselves and that we did. We even left and came right back to it because we had a little car problem so we needed to sit awhile in a cool place to get our heads together to get home and we went back and played some music and just sat and enjoyed. So I highly recommend this place it was very peaceful and welcoming and very homely.“
“Had a great time here while my ship was visiting. Many great bars in Galveston Texas but this one was quite convenient for foot traffic. Live bands, playful but direct bartenders. Always had a good time does get crowded on a hot Saturday night so it's a line for the bathroom at times. Folks are friendly and respectful definitely no need for security beside the bartenders are like Charlie's angels you might not want to be too rude. Drink prices are reasonable and they have nachos.“
“Nice cave-like bar and lounge.Lotto Machines.Arcade games and POOL TABLES!Stays open til 2am!!Seahorse Grill caters food here at low prices til 11pm.. but NOT ON SUNDAYs ..All around Great BAR.Someone WON $5000 on lotto machine there Thursday night !!!!“
“Food was just okay, we took a kid in there but I would not necessarily say it’s kid friendly; no special menu options for them. Waiting staff was very nice.Parking: Free parking couple blocks away on street, decent sidewalks for walking to location without issue.“
“What a wonderful local gem! The ambiance is definitely old school and the hospitality is top notch. Ms.Sandy and her staff were there to serve. My husband enjoyed playing video poker while I watched football. Best drinks and service near the Stand. We'll be back and always recommend others to stop by for a drink.“
“This is the best bar I’ve been to since I moved down from Oklahoma, about 5 years ago! We stumbled upon Alibi Bar on the way to Mardi Gras celebrations. It was the best way to start and end the night.I was celebrating my 24th birthday that night. Our bartender, Jaclyn, found out and made me and my company feel like superstars. This place is amazing. The atmosphere, and service, and prices are unbeatable.“
“The bartenders at this place are not just friendly, they are exceptionally friendly, and they are absolute masters when it comes to mixing up the most mouthwatering drinks imaginable. The local residents in this area are not just nice, they are genuinely the most kind-hearted individuals you will ever come across. And let me tell you, the Saturday live music events here are not to be missed. The atmosphere? Oh boy, it's nothing short of extraordinary. Trust me when I say, you absolutely must give it a try.“
“we stopped by on Wednesday in the early afternoon, we were the only customers at the time and the owner was the only person there. She was absolutely lovely, very friendly and gave us lots of recommendations for what to do in town. They had the best pool tables with hand chalk, and free pool on Wednesdays!! The drinks were very affordable as well! We came back Thursday night, and the young bartender was rather unfriendly and unwelcoming. There was no music at all as you had to download an app to play music, which we did and paid $6 for about 5 songs. I was confused because there was music playing the previous day even with nobody there, I assume the owner was playing music. We will definitely be back next time we visit!“
