“Island Time became our watering hole on our recent vacation and we were so happy with our experience. The staff was amazing, especially Julie and Josh, the drinks were fantastic, the food was your typical bar food but it was good, and the drag show was entertaining. The only negative that our group had to say was that the drag performers were a little too push for tips; literally putting their hand in front of you for a tip. This happened a few times to us, and others, and when we tipped them one of them rolled their eyes and said “that’s it”. Other than that, we had a great time and would totally go back to this fun and welcoming place.“

“love it, one of the last bars I've been to that still allows smoking. I've been a non- smoker for over 15 years and I miss it. But this brought back so many good memories and if you don't like it. Don't be rude and ruine other people's good time or shame them. Be aware and go to a different area or go somewhere else.“

Corner Pocket Bar in Galveston absolutely knocked it out of the park! 🥪 The sandwich was made with freshly sliced Boar’s Head meats and cheese, and those Maui Onion chips were TO DIE FOR! 🤤

I literally thought about this sandwich all night… 😂 That’s how good it was!

“First of all, it is a bar. The very inviting signs outside say food to go (might want to add 6.00 fee per item). We got the prime rib sandwich. It was a delicious steak sandwich on a griddle toasted bun. The horse radish is 1.00 extra. It was actually REALLY tasty. Got some wavy style potato chips in a plastic container and a pickle spear. The bar has been updated and everything is new. Staff is super attentive and very friendly.“

“Bartender Sarah was so great! My fiance and I were nervous about coming into a smaller bar as a lesbian couple & were worried we would be treated dismissively, but it was in fact the opposite! Sarah showed us around the back deck (which was so spacious btw) and made top notch drinks. We really enjoyed coming here and may make it our new close to home bar! Thank you for making our first time worth coming back!“

“We were visiting Galveston because of the Lonestar rally. This bar was recommended for us to have a few drinks and chill. The bar was clean and the locals were really nice. On saturday night they had an outdoor band, which he sounded really great and better than some of the bands at the rally. Thank you to the bartenders working saturday night and making my chocolate martinis.“

And quick! Atmosphere was great. I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all (two females). This will be on our list every time I go to Galveston!
I also have to say one thing negative just so everybody knows this post was not bought: women’s bathroom is located literally right in the middle of the bar, just awkward walking out and everyone staring at you.“

“I have visited Murdoch for years visiting in Galveston, Texas. The store is nice. The prices are reasonable however, their store policy before closing time they stop letting customers enter 15 minutes before when the store is not officially close., if a merchant says they are open till 7 PM. The door should be open till 7 PM but they close the doors on customers and turn them away., they only open the doors to allow customers in the store to leave. Bad business Murdoch your customers are what make you and if someone has to enter for whatever reason whether it’s water or to use the lady or men’s room, it should be allowed until 7 PM“
