“A civilized dining experience!! I have been eating in Mexican restaurants all my life. Bambu is a rarity. Clean, tasteful dining atmosphere. Great food. Nice portions, and excellent service. Now, here is my explanation of civilized dining: real flatware....not the stuff you usually see in Mexican restaurants...you know the forks and knives that came from a prison labor camp in Siberia. Real plates and glasses too! No more Styrofoam cups or plastic tumblers that look like they were gnawed on by rats...Do yourself a favor, dine at Bambu's.UPDATE as of 8-3 (service downgrade)Food is still good, Jaime is the only guy working at lunch it seems. The owners need to consider hiring more waiters...”

“Wow! They were slammed today during July 4th but the hot dogs were worth waiting for. We were set up outside close by and they texted when it was ready, 35 minutes instead of the hour they quoted. $10 for 2 dogs plus chips. Buns toasted and wieners broiled! Yummy.”

“We came here after a quick search for breakfast tacos. Who knew that we would find a gem that was by far better than any other restaurants we went to that weekend. The food was great and the prices were absolutely fair. It seemed like a working person's kinda spot. They also had a grocery store in the restaurant. I think you could even bring your own catch in, and they will cook it, not 100% sure on that. I had the whole fried fish, best I can remember having as far as fried fish goes. Anyway, if you are in town for a weekend I would say this is a can't miss spot but don't tell anyone because you tell someone and then they tell someone and the next thing you know I can't get a table next time i go.”

“Excellent authentic food and everything we had was delicious. I got the #59, Mixteca Plato (pictured) - flauta, beef enchilada and al pastor gordita. Homemade flour tortillas, everything seasoned perfectly, service was superb and we had a great meal. We would definitely go back. Mixteca set the bar high on flavor and authenticity. Great prices, truly a local hangout and nothing fancy inside, but beginning to end a great experience. Try the sopaillas!”

“A long overdue review but I used to go to Estacion once a week back when I was in school in Galveston! Sitting here in Dallas at a Mexican restaurant I reflect on how great I had it when I could go to La estacion. I miss it deeply! I always got a burrito or a torta, and the service was always so amazing! The tortillas were made there AND YOU COULD TELL! I almost want to go back to Galveston just to eat here again!”

“My hubs and I had been wanting to try Aceituno's for some time, but we kept missing the hours that the restaurant was open. Finally we made it for lunch, and it certainly did not disappoint. Very clean and tidy little place. Food was so tasty, authentic and reasonably priced. I had the chicken enchiladas with mole topping. Oh my goodness! Almost as good as my mother-in-law's recipe. The shredded chicken was very moist and well -seasoned and the mole was outstanding. The flavor of the mole was not overly spicy, as I've had at other restaurants. Hubs had the fajita enchiladas, and he was very pleased. Fajitas were tender, juicy and well-seasoned. Our server was very attentive and came by our table frequently to check on us, even though they were busy due to the lunch hour. Parking is a little limited since it is a shared lot with a corner store. We will definitely be back to eat there again! Super delicious, authentic Mexican food!”
