“The brisket is delicious. I tried the tamales some of the best tamales I've had in a long time. They have banana pudding today and that was really good too. I definitely definitely recommend this place. Especially for the brisket and tamales.“
“All I can say is OMG this is the BEST bbq joint! Leon’s choice brisket melts in your mouth! The ribs are amazing, as is the potato salad. His homemade seasonings and sauce is delicious! We visited with friends from England that wanted to try authentic Texas BBQ and the 4 of us devoured 2 pounds of meat. Leon even came out to introduce himself. “We were visiting post cruise and wanted some bbq while in Texas. Queens was recommended by our Segway guide. We headed over for dinner.We opted for 3 meat combo plate and added an additional side of meat. We chose brisket, ribs, turkey and jalapeño sausage. We tried the mac and cheese and baked beans as the sides. One of our friends ordered the collared greens, which had a nice flavor.We read the reviews before heading in, and any low reviews I cannot see why. Definitely a good local eats kind of place.“
“Ordered for take out at lunch. I had the sliced brisket sandwich and fried okra. I asked for moist on the brisket and it was delicious. Lots of meat on there. I had spicy BBQ sauce and pickles. The okra that I ate on the way home was crispy and cooked perfectly like I like it. But after the 20 minute drive home they softened up some so that's on me I should have just eaten at the restaurant. I ordered at the counter and I'll bet it wasn't but 5 minutes before the nice lady brought it out to me nicely packaged up.“
“I have been here several times & have turned several people on to Rigos. There are so many choices. The homemade burgers are great, the grilled pork chops are grilled to perfection, the hamburger steak & green beans were seasoned well, the blueberry pancakes & regular pancakes are so tasty as well as the bacon & sausage patties. “Everything was perfect, unfortunately a long drive but worth it when you arrive, the chopped brisket on a poboy bun is one of my favorites the staff was nice and polite, the drinks were a landscape of flavor, and the atmosphere just reminiscent of a old 80's style dinner, overall great place highly recommend.“
“Again, we were guided to a treasure by locals who knew where to go. Koops was an amazing lunch place with the best BBQ I have ever had. My Beef Brisket sandwich was perfect, without any additional sauces or flavours added. The Potato Salad was the perfect accompaniment to go with the slaw and brisket! My wife had 3 Beef Brisket tacos, which meant I got to try 2 of them the next day at lunch? as it was more than she could eat. Our friends had Beef Brisket with slaw and a Stuffed Baked Potato that she says was amazing. We will be returning before our departure for Canada.“
