“Absolutely love the environment and food, but what I absolutely love even more is the customer service especially Mr. Philip and Mr. Ordacio (a believe he busses tables). Both gentlemen made my family and I experience worth more than we can afford. Mr. Philip assisted us once prior and has been amazing every visit. Mr. Ordacio acknowledged my family and I upon entrance and greeted us with a smile, before we settled into our seats he was there to greet and assist us. He even made my 2 year old smile and I asked do you like him, he smiled ear to ear and said yes. We will definitely becoming back and seeing these two gentlemen will make our visit that much more worth the while.“

“They catered a celebration of life we had today. All the food was fantastic. The ribs were perhaps the best I have had in a long time. 9 out of 10. The only issue was we asked for half white bread and half rolls and only got bread. But that was the only misstep. Everything else was excellent. Everyone was more than pleased. We passed out some business cards. You will get some more business from this. Thanks you for a great experience.“

“OMG! This place is s solid 5! It's small, tucked away off the beaten path, but this is a MUST do for dinner. They close at 7, so go early! You will not be disappointed. The prices are incredibly reasonable considering the amount and quality of food you get! The meat was cooked to perfection... probably the best steaks we have had in a long time! Brisket and turkey were fall-apart tender! The sides were delish... total comfort food!“

“We went to Rudy’s while staying at the Great Wolf Lodge. It is just a 3 minute drive. Rudy’s was fantastic! The atmosphere is what you expect at southern bbq joint. Open, fun, busy, and lively. The young man who took our order was so kind and respectful! It was our first time there and he made the suggestion to try the turkey, which I gladly took his recommendation. My daughter chose the brisket and the others in our party selected the pulled pork sandwiches. We also go a small helping of the potato salad, beans, Cole slaw, creamed corn, pecan pie, and buttermilk pie. Our meal was topped off with beets, Topo Chico and sodas.
The meat was moist and delicious. Each piece had a nice smoke to it. The brisket crust was delightful. Salty, crispy and darn right tasty!!

“So yummy! The baked potato was huge-had to break it up into two meals. My husband and daughter got ribs and brisket. The meat was so tender and full of flavor. They got fried rice and beans for sides. Everything was great. Giving Killens a run for their money. We’ll be back soon🤗“

“My husband is working here in Texas and we came by 2/17/26 for supper and it was amazing. The steak was great, the brisket was way better than our bbq place back home and the ribs were great. The BBQ sauce was to die for. I had ordered the sausage but then was told it was sold out which was okay because we came around 9pm. We tried all the things that diners drive in and dives tried. Let’s just say if my husband comes back to this part of Texas we will be back ohhh and let’s not forget the armadillo eggs those things was amazing my husband have talked about how good they were all night and day. I tried their brisket, and it was outstanding , perfectly moist, juicy, and packed with rich, smoky flavor. The sides were equally impressive. The buttered corn was flavorful and comforting, the mac and cheese was creamy and well seasoned, and the sweet potato was cooked just right. I also took advantage of their Saturday special, which included chicken with two sides and a drink for just $12.99 an excellent value for both quality and portion size. Overall, great food, solid portions, and pricing that makes you want to come back. Highly recommended“

“The owner of coyote told me he was the original owner of Sagemont bbq and yes he was. I recognized the food and bbq sauce immediately. Food is very good and compared to bbq prices around you cannot beat their prices. Hamburger was full of flavor and juicy. Will definitely return for a burger.“

“What a hidden gem. They don't do delivery but they do pick up. As for value they are great. As far as steaks go the quality vs price is perfect. Steaks cooked perfect(medium rare), great sides, great apps. Don't even get me started on the burger here“
