“I celebrated my birthday with a family member for the first time at Red River Cantina. The food was outstanding! The service was right on. The ambiance was TexMex classic. The ladies bathroom was impeccably clean and well stocked. Our server surprised me with a beautifully and delicious complimentary Sopapillas with cream and a lit birthday candle. Red River Cantina has nothing to envy their competitors. We all know who they are. Red River is our new restaurant for delicious and reasonably priced TexMex dining! Next on our list is their BBQ restaurant! Can't wait!“

“I want to say how AMAZING this place is! I booked a birthday dinner for my boyfriend and the owner called me personally and spoke with me and made sure that she decorated our table personally and even got us a private room (which I had no idea was going to happen)! When we arrived, there were beautiful balloons, candles and a stunning room filled with low lights and music. Her husband even came in to make sure everything was to our liking and the waitress (Chloe) was outstanding! I cannot say how wonderful each and every person was that night and how great the food was as well. We will for sure be regular customers at this restaurant for years to come! “All the food is excellent. The house steak is great and warms up well for leftovers. I recommend using a fork with that though. I am always getting the subs and seafood. And they fix them to order, but I always get them with what they always put on them. This location also does online ordering but I have not tried that yet.“

“My brother (Tokyo) is a regular here and told me that we had to grab a bite at claros during my most recent trip to Houston. Boy did Claros deliver. The special sauce made by chef blew me out of the water. I practically drank it! The service was incredible and all of the flavor recommendations by the staff were superb. “Life has been so incredibly difficult in the last several weeks, and who would’ve thought that getting a hug from a shark (Sharky), would have made things all better. This was my husband’s, and I first date after having an emergency c-section that all but took my life. We decided to come here with our 25 day old son, and since arriving we were greeted by such a warm and kind front host stand personnel. Afterwards, our waitress Symone simply went above and beyond to make our experience a delightful one with her attentiveness, kind smile, and pleasant demeanor. The food was also sooooo incredibly delicious!

Now, the ABSOLUTE star of the show was Sharky. When Sharky made his way to our table, and I briefly told him about my difficulties, he hugged me. THAT hug, from an unknown person in a shark costume has meant so much. It was a hug I didn’t realize I needed. After the first hug, he proceeded to give me a second hug. What a simple act can do in the life of someone. He then very kindly proceeded to take a picture with our son, gifted him a plushie capybara with a cute Kemah shirt on, and lastly sent us an ice cream dessert that said “Love Sharky”. I don’t know who the person under the Sharky costume was, but THANK YOU. I’m crying as I’m typing this because life has just been so real, scary, emotional, heavy, and many more things. To person under the Sharky costume, please don’t change your tender heart. You’ve made an impact in my life I will never forget.“

A manager did come to check on us & went out of her way to find my sister a bottle of Coca-Cola :) Gift shop prices are outrageous, but it's a fun place with nice scenic views!“

Last Saturday we dropped a piece of jewelry down between the cracks on the patio & the manager was kind enough to unscrew the boards & retrieve it for us!! I just love this place & the staff. The Outrigger’s fish tacos are amazing! But also love the meatloaf, burger & key lime pie! Highly recommend!“

“The menu is quite large with so much variety. Their house salad dressing is really delicious and if you choose the pasta Alfredo as your side you won’t believe how big the portion is. My husband got the stuffed red fish and for the first time ever couldn’t eat it all. I recommend sharing an entree so you can save room for dessert which I hear the bread pudding is delicious. I just didn’t have room“

My husband had a sudden unrelated health incident during the meal, and the staff was quickly there to offer any assistance.“

We told the cashier and she was not receptive, just took our money. There didn't seem to be a manager or owner available for us to talk to. We will not be back and will certainly spread this news!“

“We go to Marais Sunday brunch 4-5 times a year. Our waiter Nick seemed to always be helping other tables. We were always waiting for something, a hot towel or our ticket and he never pour us more champagne. The main disappountment was my banana foster. It's my favorite and I always look forward to it. The sauce was overcooked and not warm. Hated that for my meal.“
