Walked in after a cruise not knowing what to expect. The manager greeted us and explained no worried its casual sunday. The service was exceptional! The breakfast buffet was amazing with plenty of options. Stumbled upon this spot on accident. After this visit now its a mandatory visit every cruise.
Marais has always been one of my favorites. Doug and his staff has always treated me and party like family. I actually feel spoiled at times and this night was no different. There is a chef in their kitchen by the name of Chef Joshua Waddel. Now I have always been a fan of chef Josh and his work, On this night he spoiled me with a Glazed pork chop, over dirty andouille and confit risotto, with a honey bourbon sauce. Marais is a wonderful place for a book club meeting or any gathering. The atmosphere is perfect, and the food and drinks are excellent. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind, with Savanna providing wonderful service, although some guests noted the need for better meal splitting when sharing dishes. The chef is clearly passionate about their craft, and every dish is a work of art and packed with flavor. The shrimp and grits are highly praised, with one reviewer calling them the best ever, while the Elk chops also received outstanding reviews. Additionally, the Bacon Candy and Bourbon Street Redfish have been highlighted as top meals. Visitors have enjoyed dining from the Houston Restaurant Week menu, finding the meal satisfying.
