“Ive lived in the area for about 4 years. We usually drive into the city for dinning but tonight we came to Marais. Everything was excellent from the host, to the food, the atmosphere and our service top tier. We went tonight for our 4 year anniversary and they were so sweet about acknowledging the occasion. Definitely a new go-to. Their Sunday Brunch will be next!“

“I have been eating here for so many years. The Best Catfish in the Greater Houston/Galveston area. I have since moved away from Dickinson, but I come to see Ms. Lily once a month and still get the "All You Can Eat Catfish." A MUST when in the area or traveling to Galveston. 5 stars all the way...they treat you like family.“

The food has always been delicious, specifically the ribs, that fall off the bone. Salad is always fresh. Sides are tasty too. And the bread is buttery goodness. ALL for such a reasonable price. “I want to say how AMAZING this place is! I booked a birthday dinner for my boyfriend and the owner called me personally and spoke with me and made sure that she decorated our table personally and even got us a private room (which I had no idea was going to happen)! When we arrived, there were beautiful balloons, candles and a stunning room filled with low lights and music. Her husband even came in to make sure everything was to our liking and the waitress (Chloe) was outstanding! I cannot say how wonderful each and every person was that night and how great the food was as well. We will for sure be regular customers at this restaurant for years to come! “I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and I’m very impressed with their newest bartender maybe 3 weeks fresh in at Scotty’s, Chris. He is personable and has a loyal group of regulars that are starting to trickle in and grow a soft spot for our beloved neighborhood pour. He is bringing in a lot of business, but I can’t say I’m surprised by this. He has a way of connecting with people that make their experience as such when someone actually connects with you and remembers the little things when they see you again. Nobody feels like a stranger. He’s adapting quickly and always busting his ass behind the bar to make it a great experience. The staff here is top notch 💯🤌“

“Ok so def mixed feelings about here. Pozole, chilaquiles, quesadillas and watermelon lemonade were all literally amazing. No doubt food was on point. Here’s my concerns. No chips until we were sitting there for 20 mins. We also waited 42 mins for our food. Table behind us got the same thing and got their food before us. I went up there and said something and from one server I was told “I don’t know what’s going on”. Then cashier told me “she would check and she didn’t know what was going on”. Cashier was sweet and did try to help. I think they skipped our order and when she went back there that’s when they made it. Food is a 9.5. My drink was a 10. Service is a 2! If we weren’t in such a hurry, it probably wouldn’t have been as big of a deal but because it made us late for a baby shower it definitely was a big deal. I’ll def be back and hopefully the experience will be better.“

“Ate breakfast here on a recent overnight stay in the area, and what a treat it was to find Bon Appetit Cafe! Quaint and cozy, the owners were so friendly, and the food and coffee were delicious! Husband and I shared a breakfast platter with an extra side and the food was plentiful. I'm a extra crispy but not too crispy bacon kind of girl and it was cooked perfectly. Won't hesitate to recommend Bon Appetit to others we know traveling to the area and it will most definitely be a place we visit again.“

The bacon was crispy and that was perfect! There weren’t many options but it was still pretty good. The manager waited on us and was just the right amount of attentive. The entertainer was great!“

I ordered the Gulf red snapper along with the fried alligator and kept it simple with a couple of bottled waters. The snapper was fresh and cooked just right flavorful, tender, and definitely the standout of the meal. The fried alligator was a fun addition too, crispy on the outside and nicely seasoned. Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out in a reasonable time. It felt like a place that cares about both the food and the customer experience. Overall, I would recommend Tookie’s Seafood if you’re looking for fresh, well prepared seafood in a laid back setting. I would definitely come back.“

“My husband is working here in Texas and we came by 2/17/26 for supper and it was amazing. The steak was great, the brisket was way better than our bbq place back home and the ribs were great. The BBQ sauce was to die for. I had ordered the sausage but then was told it was sold out which was okay because we came around 9pm. We tried all the things that diners drive in and dives tried. Let’s just say if my husband comes back to this part of Texas we will be back ohhh and let’s not forget the armadillo eggs those things was amazing my husband have talked about how good they were all night and day. “Wow — one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! I ordered the chilaquiles plate half Verde, half Roja and topped it with fajita beef… and let me tell you, that fajita meat sent it over the edge. So much flavor and perfectly tender. I also grabbed a side of corned beef hash — if you’re a corned beef lover, this is the one. Crunchy on the outside, packed with flavor, and paired with the best grilled onions. My husband went with the chicken fried steak plate. The steak is tenderized and made fresh to order, and the gravy was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this place. The service was top-notch, and TAMMY did an incredible job welcoming everyone into the diner!“

“!!PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW!! My family and I stopped and ate at Casa Fiesta on our way home from vacation. My wife is in the final stages of brain cancer so everything we do as a family is precious time. When one of the owners...Ray...saw us praying before our meal, he came over and greeted us and told us we were a blessing to him. We visited a lot, got to know about his family, etc. He brought cake and churros and the best special drink for my wife. My wife's late father's name was Ray, and this Ray gave us our favorite memory from our vacation. A couple of my adult daughters cried tears of joy and gratitude because of him. Ray will be a friend of our family forever. He was a very special blessing to us. Especially my wife. Guys like Ray deserve the best. Eat at Casa Fiesta often. Best restaurant experience ever! BTW.. the food was absolutely amazing and the staff was the best.“
