Let me tell you about my evening at the Shrimp Shack in Galveston—it was the kind of experience that makes you want to write poetry about fried seafood. The shrimp? Perfectly golden, crispy, and so fresh I swear they waved at me from the fryer. Each bite was like a little crunchy hug from the Gulf. And as if that wasn’t enough, the sunset decided to show off. Sitting there, stuffing my face with fried shrimp while the sky turned shades of pink and orange, I felt like I’d hit the jackpot of simple pleasures. Shrimp, sunset, and sea breeze—what more could you want? Highly recommend. 10/10, would shrimp again.

Was in Galveston for a day and stopped by on the way out, and I'm glad we did! We ordered the shrimp and an order of crab sticks...everything was delish!!!!

We shared the order of 10 fried Gulf shrimp and an order of fries. The shrimp were large and made to order. The fries were actually really good but I don't think made in house. Overall, a good place for fresh Gulf shrimp at the end of a beach day.

This food truck has always had the freshest shrimp. Wild gulf shrimp that taste sweet. No farm raised. A wide variety of flavors to suit any taste bud. Try one and you’ll want to try them all. The shrimp is crispy and crunchy in addition to the melody of flavors that compliment the shrimp. All the condiments are excellent. I have nothing absolutely bad to say. Shrimply the best ! .

Naked shrimp tasted chlorinated and farmed. Needed dill dipping sauce to mask the flavor. Disappointed and will pass next time.

Perfect spot to get shrimp@!! This is the shrimp truck with amazing shrimp flavors. Highly recommend if you are visiting Galveston or live there.

I just have to say the absolute worst shrimp I’ve ever had. It was dry. It tasted full of salt and I couldn’t even eat it. It was disgusting.

Fantastic quality shrimp. They have so many flavors I want to try, but I can't help getting coconut shrimp every time. Service is slow but it's because everything is obviously very fresh and cooked to order. I am a seafood hater and am VERY sensitive to any fishy/off flavor, but Darlene's shrimp have consistently been incredibly mild and fresh! Bonus: the hushpuppies are a surprise delight. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, very flavorful with a little bit of spiciness.

Your employees are driving your business into the ground four people drove away we showed up at 7:30 and the guy tried to tell me that you ran out of shrimp there's a shrimp place right next door really another time recently that we came down here to have shrimp you guys didn't have any ? shrimp you need a secret shopper to come over here and sort out these people you have working for you because I took my five-star down to a one-star because it's horrible service your workers that you're getting is driving the business down to the ground you said that he offered to go get two pounds from next door absolutely he did not he did not you trying to make an excuse for a lazy employee who did not offer that thank you for explaining the process but no he wanted to get out there early watch the video again and no he did not offer that if you want to support a lazy employee go ahead but you're trying to put a one star comment to my review to support his lazy behavior That's fine I will not be returning to your establishment and I will not recommend it to anybody lazy
employees and owners who don't care about quality of service the end
