We are in town visiting from Minnesota and found this place. Staff is incredible; so nice and welcoming. The donuts and breakfast tacos were a huge hit and homemade hot sauce was a real treat. It was a nice local stop for breakfast that was a decent price and fantastic meal. There are 5 tables inside, so if it is busy not much space to sit.

They know they have the best donuts so they don’t care about providing good service. Was in town from Pearland and hoped to finish off a stressful day with a childhood favorite, just for the lady to close 10 minutes early. She was walking out and just said “sorry”. 10 minutes!!!

We came in as our last stop before hitting the road back to Dallas. Unfortunately the service we received was subpar. The Hispanic lady with the RBF not only rushed us but made a mistake and then sat up and talked about us to another customer about how people just don't pay attention after we pointed to exactly what my son wanted & she confirmed but never gave him the bag. Once we told her he didn't get it, she just graabed a random kolache & threw it in the bag. We didn't want what that. We waited patiently as she helped other people & essentially avoided us until she finally asked what we needed. Instead of professionally replacing the incorrect item she spoke badly about us and rudely threw the item on the counter. We were never rude or disrespectful to her and don't appreciate being treated in that manner.
This is the donut joint! In all if Galveston Island, we loved this one the most. Its the most mom and pop's we found. The service was attentative and they even explained the variety if fillings, able variety, of the jelly donuts. The donuts were tasty and not overly sweet. The coffee is grounded right there. We'll be back.

Donut Palace makes the best donut I’ve ever had. The glazed donuts are fluffy, sweet and delicious. They are so good, I can identify them by taste alone. The 3 stars for atmosphere is due to the small space. It’s more of a pick up and take with you than dining in.
