Food was good, average. The service was great. Definitely a sit and enjoy the place atmosphere. Feels like a true Mexican restaurant. Prices are set accordingly. Order the ground beef enchiladas for a sure hit and not miss.

We came all the way from summerwood to go visit Galveston, we heard of this place and decided to eat there ,the food was fabulous but the place smelled real bad inside. My daughter could not eat her food due to the smell like sewer and the waitress was very rude.We all felt her energy vibe like if she was not interested in attending to us. This was yesterday 8/12 like at 530pm ...Very disappointed will not be going back there again. Waitress needs work in customer service

We wanted to love this place, however there were multiple issues we had. We were told to seat ourselves which is fine, however it took over 15 minutes to get a menu. It took almost an hour after that to get our food which was unfortunately not good: cold cheddar cheese on chilaquiles and beans that taste canned. The waitresses are running around frantically appearing busy but not getting anything done. We asked for a coffee refill twice, our waitress was so frantic and confused she even brought the coffee pot, set it down, turned around and took it back with her without even giving a refill. Meanwhile multiple waitresses are all literally running around with coffee pots and not checking who actually needs a refill. The people sitting behind us were there before us, at least 30 minutes passed until the waitress came and told them the menudo ran out and they had to pick a different item. These workers seem to have no work experience or concept of professionalism in the work place. We will unfortunately not be returning.

Want yummy well priced food that isn’t a useless tourist trap? El Nopalito’s is the PLACE TO GO!!! Leaving Galveston this morning my husband and I just wanted some simple breakfast tacos without waiting forever and paying a ton. El Nopalito’s has delicious breakfast burritos which equal almost three breakfast tacos. They were absolutely delicious. The tortillas are extremely fresh and flavorful. We parked and called to place our order. We went inside 5 minutes later and left 3 minutes after that with our food. It was quiet inside with just a few people eating. This Mexican food place is a hidden gem! And a perfect place to get delicious food while avoiding tourist nonsense.

Restaurantji Recommends
This restaurant elevates the common Tex-mex nacho to a whole new level by the the freshness and flavor of the ingredients. The Carne Gisada is so deliciously satisfying and my only regret is the the portion was larger than what I could consume in one sitting. The tomatillo salsa is fantastic! Will definitely be back on my next trip to Galveston!
This place is a must!!!! Every time we come back from a cruise we stop here to get breakfast. Food is always great, tortillas fresh and tasty.

Although there are a lot of Mexican food options on Broadway, El Nopalito is such a great choice for a hearty and delicious meal!
Even though I don't speak much Spanish, the employees who didn't speak much English tried their best, and there was a sweet older lady who did and she was just the most attentive server ever!
Anywho, I ordered the stuffed jalapenos, and the lunch enmoladas with shredded chicken. The complementary chips and salsa were fantastic and fresh, the stuffed jalapenos were huge and so filling for an absurdly low price, and the lunch plate was so huge I have leftovers! Overall such a fantastic lunch, and I will be back again!
