We always have a wonderful time at San Luis. Love that all the rooms have a beautiful view. Easy walk to the beach. Staff helped make my birthday special. Went in November and pool was heated enough. Only wish they had another hot tub area. Loved the fire pit addition. They have private cabanas to rent. Nice set up.

Nice stay but room for improvements . Went March 8th-11th for a surprise birthday getaway. Pros : pool clean, great location , wonderful view , tastefully decorated room Cons : check in staff was not well trained ( new person on the 1st day of spring break ! ) she almost spoiled my birthday surprise, VIP King Room with Champagne and Chocolate Covered Strawberries) ; Room was not ready despite numerous texts about time of arrival and being told it was not a problem to accommodate ; Floor 15 and 16 require special access , we were not told how to get to our floor ( you hold your wristband on a reader inside the elevator) ; WiFi wasn't working when we arrived ; room has a tablet to order food , ordered food via the tablet, food did not arrive . Called , order never made it to the kitchen ( probably due to missing / spotty WiFi ) ; Ice machine on floor 15 broken ; called , were transferred twice and promised a bucket with ice , neither did anything get repaired nor did we get the bucket with ice ; 15th floor is supposed to have "snacks " out during the day . It's a bowl of chocolates and trail mix, chocolate didn't get refilled for an entire , said snacks were minimal during our stay . Self parking in the back $15 Overall , if I book a VIP King room I expect more . The resort is not cheap and the service didn't match the prices .

Feels like you are traveling international here. The style and ambiance is elegant every corner you turn. There are so many flowers, chandeliers, and other decor that make this place worthwhile. Employees are great- nice and welcoming. Everyone was very respectful and friendly. Love that there are a variety of options to dine in- both indoor and outdoor, and there's a starbucks coffee shop too. The pool area is extremely nice because it overlooks the ocean. can't get any better than that!

Beautiful hotel with easy parking and great service. Front desk staff is super friendly and greeted us every time we entered! There's a lot of dining options within the hotel, as well as close by to the hotel! The pool area is stunning and has a fantastic view of the ocean!! Lots of seating too. There's a convenient coffee shop next to the restaurants too!

We made the 5+ hour drive down from Dallas and stayed here the night before a cruise that sailed out of Galveston the week of 1/26 - 2/2/24. We took advantage of valet parking at the hotel and at only $34 a day, it sounded like a much better idea than leaving the car in a self-park open lot left totally vulnerable to the elements. Convenience and peace of mind go a long way. We were greeted by two courteous, professional, friendly, and attentive young men - Marcus and Diego - when we drove up to Valet. We mentioned it was our first time staying at this property, so he guided us and made sure we knew where we needed to go. The Resort is delightfully adorned with a modern, upscale feel. There is so much to do and there's even a spa. May need to do that next time when we go on a cruise again but stay for two nights instead of one. We were checked in by Jasmyne and were told that our room was not yet ready and that I would receive a text message as soon as it was available(we arrived shortly after 3PM). About 20 minutes later, there appeared to be an issue with the room, so we were promptly relocated the the 14th Floor and given a coupon for the cup+cone and access to Continental Breakfast one floor up. The room was gorgeous. Facing the ocean just as advertised on the VIP Floor with Two Queen Beds. Very comfortable and easily The BEST hot water I have ever experienced in a hotel shower! The dinner at Blake's Bistro was wonderful. Hostess Georgia greeted us and showed us to our table. Ella was our sweet and attentive server and she walked us through the menu and made suggestions. Had the Dragonfruit Blueberry Punch for a Mocktail and, for the entrée, opted for the Chicken and Rice soup and Asian Chicken Salad. Both excellent! Homemade Banana Cream Pie for Dessert. Get it! Trust me on that one. Even the whipped cream is made from scratch, I'm told. I even spoke to whom I believe to be a manager at the hostess desk after our meal. I didn't catch his name, but he was visiting tables and making sure guests had what they needed. For a first time patron, this was a great first impression and experience. I will choose this Resort again the next time we are here for a Cruise. I called and spoke with Sam a week before our one night stay and she made sure I was booked on the 9:15 AM Cruise Shuttle to the Port as well as Long-Term Valet Parking for the duration of the cruise. Upon check-out from the Hotel the next morning, one of the front desk staff - Timothy - assisted us and printed out the room incidentals and charges to make sure everything was correct. Aside from an incorrect address(which was corrected upon check-out), everything seemed to be fine. Timothy said he didn't like the way one of the charges looked and that he was going to double check it with his Manager. I explained to them that I needed to put the charge on a different credit card (because I was going on a cruise and needed to utilize the card I had originally used for the Hotel Reservation for onboard purchases) and it was all cleared up. Not the fault of San Luis - next time, I will plan better so I don't have to change the credit card associated with the Hotel Reservation. When we returned to the Port of Galveston on February 2nd, we had facial recognition at customs, retrieved our luggage, and were out of the terminal building within 10 minutes. We then called an Uber and were back at the Hotel Valet with the blue ticket in hand to retrieve our vehicle by 9:55AM and started the 5+ hour drive back to Dallas. From the efficiency and ease of check-in to the Hotel on January 25th, check-out on February 2nd, to the cleanliness of the room, to the Valet Parking and the atmosphere of the Resort itself, we would feel very comfortable returning to San Luis for our next pre-cruise stay. Special thanks to Sam, Marcus, Diego, Jasmyne, Georgia, Ella, and Timothy. See you in January 2026 if not before then!

Went to Blake's Bistro as a family for Christmas Eve brunch and it was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful, the restaurant was clean and inviting, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. So glad we chose this place for our holiday celebration.

My daughter and I went and had our hair done (washed, trimmed, layered and styled) by Annette. She was absolutely amazing!! Annette was very professional, informative and helpful with all of the our questions. My daughter is 11 years old and is now telling me how she DEFINITELY wants to back to see Annette and get her done for her birthday. I can’t thank her enough for doing an amazing job on our hair but also for the great experience. We will definitely be coming back!!

Candice and staff always take good care of me and my guests. This weekend though was exceptional. My friends got massages and facials and they were wowed. A staff member at the spa called in sick and Candice and co were able to pivot and provide excellent service to us even when it meant a change in schedule and plans. I had a cut and color with Annette and I felt like she understood what I liked as far and color and she did a great job trimming my hair and yet retaining the overall look for my hair. I recommended her to a friend.

My wife and I have stayed at the San Luis multiple times. We decided to spend our 26th wedding anniversary there. Jasmyne behind the font desk made our visit exceptional. She arranged for a wonderful surprise in our room with Champaign and chocolate strawberries. She was amazing. I also want to mention our check out with Zoe was great. She was able to fix some accounting discrepancies for us quickly with a smile. I applaud both of these great staff members that promote the essence of what a "get-away" is supposed to be! Thank you to all of you doing a great job there! Carl Isaacs

Misty was an amazing massage therapist. She really works magic with her hands using holding techniques that helped problem areas. She did cranial (head) work that helped you feel uplifted and wonderful! There was a lovely steam room and showers as well as a cocoa nut scrub to use on your face in the locker room. I got the sea stone massage with a detox mud scrub that really detoxified me and I felt wonderful when I left!
