This was our first visit to Katie's. The restaurant was recommended to us by a server at another restaurant, a liquor store employee and one of its customers. After visiting Katie's, we could understand why. The food was fantastic and there was lots of it. We saw several after dinner to-go bags. We loved our meals. I had the fish and shrimp basket. The fish they had that evening was golden tile fish. I've never had it before (or heard of it) but I certainly enjoyed it. My husband had a dish similar to ramen with golden tile fish and American red snapper. He loved it! The service was fabulous. That restaurant was packed, but our server and one other that I could observe were so friendly and engaging. They didn't look or act overwhelmed or annoyed by the bustling restaurant. We will definitely go back to Katie's.

My first time eating at Katie's, and I was not disappointed! Old school fish house with something for everyone. The snapper wings were awesome and the entrees were perfection. Had grouper with jerk seasoning, I had the Texas hold shrimp and fish and the kids had sliders and the steak burger. Everything came out fast and on point!

Texas Bucket List Disappointment. The Broiled Seafood Platter, was $56.00 - reasonable for amount of food. However, the food was barely warm and cold. It was obvious the food was precooked and kept under a hear lamp. I consider "fresh" as being cooked to order. The mixed vegetables were over cooked, limp and awful. The rice had corn kernels in it -- why. Just a filler? Won't return. Loved the location and view of Battleship Texas in distance. Outside had a great atmosphere. It would have been too loud inside.

Our servers were attentive and checked on us frequently. The food was excellent. The staff was flexible, allowing us to eat by the window and then sit outside after dinner to view the harbor lights. Great place to celebrate a birthday!

The food was wonderful. Get the ceviche for an app. The fresh catch is always a good choice. My son and hubby liked the gumbo and key lime cheese cake was perfect for dessert. Our server Joe A. was wonderful. Very nice, Friendly ,helpful. We def will come back.

This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a very long time. The server (Desiree) was very genuine in her approach and her customer service. The food was so fresh and tasty. The seasoning was on point and i cant get over the freshness and taste of the food. The Chef (Brett) came out and asked us to rate one of his dishes. The manager (Bobby) came out and shared some points of interest about the restaurant. He went the extra mile to insure our visit was successful. The place was clean and spacious but there were not many secluded or romantic spots. My wife and I enjoyed the experience and I would recommend this establishment to anyone.
