This is a destination place if you like pitmaster bbq. I would have given 5 stars if better parking was available as i had to park a block away. I had the sampler in order to be fair. Note: texas bbq leans heavy on the vinegar side but i did not hold that against them. My favorites of the meal were the brisket, pulled pork, and sausage in that order. The turkey was ok as well as the chicken minutes the rubbery skin (there is a way to fix that). The ribs were the least on that plate as they were heavily spiced. M y favorite side was the dirty rice .... literally the best i have had. The warm potato salad was just OK and the spicy corn was ok but needed the sauce mixed with the corn prior to garnishing. The banana pudding was also very good. Drinks come with this two person meal. Pricing is at market and the business is clean and nostalgic.

We got the BBQ sampler and everything on it was awesome. There was enough for 4 people easy. The service was also top notch. It's been a while since I've had some good Texas BBQ and Koop's did not disappoint.

Great food they give you plenty for you money I highly recommend this BBQ

Owner wanyed me to pay for a glass of water when I told him I will go get my cup of water out the car his response was did you have to pay for that? And he has to pay for his water as well. I have never when to a restaurant where you were charged for a glass of water. I cancelled my order for my money will not spend in such an establishment.

We’re from out of town and I travel a lot, so I was really craving some good Texas BBQ. Koop’s came up in my search, and it did not disappoint. The brisket was tender, the turkey is a must, and the sides were awesome. There was even a small line right at 11am, but it moved fast and we got right in. Friendly staff, tasty food, and worth the stop. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in the area. Decked out with Christmas decor and fun Christmas music.

I was in Galveston today for work, and after many recommendations, I decided to stop by. I only ordered half a pound of brisket, but they also gave me a little bit of the smoked turkey on the house because I asked about it while ordering. I have to tell you that is the best smoked turkey I've ever had in my life it was juicy, seasoned, and delicious. I live in Houston and have been to every barbecue spot around here, but by far, this is the best turkey I've ever had. The brisket was amazing as well very well seasoned and tender. But this turkey is to die for. I will make sure not to leave the island without my barbecue. Whenever you pass by this place, you have to stop and try it. They have amazing barbecue. I'm even requesting a job in Galveston tomorrow just so I can stop by again.

Holy smokes why did we wait so long to try this amazing place! The food is incredible and the staff very friendly. Yum don't skip it and try the spicy sauce on your brisket it's great!!

Whats up with the two dollar fee for sharing. My sister and i like to share at lunch. What is the reason behind $2. We want to eat this bbq and we want to share but why do we have to pay $2. I will pay but just dont understand if i buy the bbq i should be able to share etc. Thanks for doing what you do..

Ate there today. Some of the best BBQ out there. Only open for a few hours a day. MAKE THE TIME. I’m glad we did.
