Leon's World Finest Bar-B-Que

My wife and I dined at Leon's last week for dinner. The BBQ meats (brisket, ribs, and sausage) were absolutely delicious. They were tender, well seasoned, and had a good wood smoked flavor. But the sides were horrible. We had the cornbread, coleslaw, and spicey rice. The cornbread was flat and had the consistency of sweet potato pie, but it was tasteless and seemed undercooked. The rice tasteless and overcooked, and the coleslaw was tasteless and seemed to be poured right out of a bag. We ended up throwing all the sides away.

I placed a dinner order for my family through GrubHub, and it was unexpectedly canceled about an hour later. When I called GrubHub to find out what happened, I was told the restaurant canceled it due to a missing item.

This was especially disappointing because my family doesn’t have a car and was depending on this delivery for dinner. What’s frustrating is that no one reached out to let us know there was an issue—we would’ve been happy to adjust the order if we’d been contacted.

Instead, the order was canceled without any notice, leaving my family without dinner tonight. I find this lack of communication really unprofessional.

Stopped at Leon's for lunch and had great food and service. Love eating at local places, Leon even came over and thanked us for coming.

This place is awesome, food is fabulous, people are amazing. Loved it.

I can truly say that there is nothing on the menu that I dislike. Best BBQ on the island!!! Brisket is my favorite

LOOOOOOOVE this place! I always get the Leon’s cut brisket. Bet brisket I’ve had on the island!!! And the ribs!! Omggg 🤤🤤🤤 they never disappoint!

This is an old school Galveston. Come here now. They will be closing down soon. Leon is finally taking a well deserved break. Thank you for all the years of enjoyment. I drive from Houston for the riblets. Damn they good

First time trying I’m brisket girl and I’m disappointed to say the least I paid extra for moist cut but it must’ve already been previously cut because it’s a little dried out. The brisket doesn’t have taste and the ribs were ok but I got more riblets I would say, the green beans needs a lot of seasoning and the Mac n cheese has a weird taste. Maybe I caught them on an off day when I originally as supposed to go to Koops well I patronized them it just wasn’t what I wanted..!!

I live here in Houston Texas. We went to Galveston for a day and did not know where we were going to get something to eat, but sorry I did not take a picture of the food, but it was very delicious. the meat was fallen off the bones, sorry

This is what's the horrible grossest food I ever had the barbecue was like dipping in Greece the meat had a horrible taste the chicken was okay the macaroni and cheese was greasy and watery the greens worsweets and the potato salad had clumps and potatoes

Best brisket I've ever had - tender, juicy anddelicious. Best seasoned ribs, perfectly cooked. Mr. Leon himself came out and greeted us. It was wonderful!!
