the bartender did not sever me because I referred you a rum and coke as a Cuba libre. They immediately kicked me and my friend out because they thought it was an “.offensives” term which I thought was the normal term of their drink. I am never going to market station again in my life. It extremely offended me.

This place is a Galveston staple. Great bartenders, creative cocktails, free pool, and shuffleboard. There is a reason Market Station is packed most nights. Anybody with something negative to say has a fundamental misunderstanding with what kind of bar this is. THERE IS NO TABLE SERVICE. I know I personally bring anyone who visits me on the island here.

My dad and I stopped in earlier this evening for happy hour. I picked this bar based on reviews. The atmosphere is great, but the customer service isn't. The gal working wasn't very friendly and didn't make us feel welcome as first-timers. She seemed more concerned with getting back to her phone and talking to another patron. We asked if they got tourists this time of the year, and she said no, really only the locals. I agree with her statement. You have to be a regular to get decent service here. It is also surprising her attitude towards tourists, as it's the island's off-season, and I'm sure people are hurting for tips.I DO NOT recommend this bar based solely on the bartender that was serving happy hour 12/13/23. Maybe others have better luck. We didn't even finish our drinks because the vibes were so off. I will never return.
