Paid 11 and some change for cheeseburger and fries and hands down best burger aside from my daddies that I have ever had. The workers there seemed happy to be there and very friendly and fast service

I work here so I'm kind of partial but the food is great. For a Cafe in a gas station it's by far one of the best I've ever eaten at. I actually had my first burger there when I moved here a little over three months ago. Best Burger on the Island.

Wow, what a hidden gem! The meatloaf was some of the best I've ever had! Was just like my mom's. The shrimp were fried to perfection and all the sides were fantastic! So glad I found this place.

If someone had told me I'd be eating dinner in a gas station I would have laughed. But here we are! DELICIOUS 😋 These gals know good food. I had a turkey burger w mashed potatoes and it was amazing 👏 Seriously, we may go back for the meatloaf which they sold out of at lunch. 🤪

1st time here, waited for ever watching everyone after us getting served, found out they lost our ticket, but instead of moving us forward they continued to make everyone else’s order and made us last.

This place is a hidden gem, if you know, you know. Great burgers and friendly staff every time

Okay, this is wild. First, Mel’s is a wonderful find. Second, it is in a gas station convenience store. Get over it. The food was fresh and delicious. Home cooking to the max. I had hamburger steak smothered in grilled onions and mushrooms. Mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. Go to Mel’s!

My wife and I were down on the island for the weekend. We saw the sign and decided to give this place a try. The food was great tasting and the service was very good as well. It's a small hole in the wall place but definitely a great choice!!!! Looking forward to our next visit.
