The hotel is immaculate, very friendly staff, great food and the room was clean and comfortable. The rainforest, aquarium, palm beach, angry birds in theater and the science were all very entertaining and fun for the entire family. 10/10 ⭐️

They repeatedly shame breastfeeding moms. By law a mom is allowed to breastfeed anywhere in public or private that she is allowed to be. Yet this place continues to ignore the law and mock breastfeeding moms

The staff is extremely accommodating to individual needs. The food is excellent.

Holiday train ride- please get a bigger train so parents can ride with their kids. Im not sending my 3 year old child in the dark on a train ride by himself. I think MG makes enough to invest in a longer, heavy duty train for its guests.

Not sure why this place only has 3 stars. I thought the food was delicious. I was expecting the moody gardens to have overpriced greasy pizza and burger options. But I was pleasantly surprised this buffet was well thought out and had a lot of options for adults and kids. The meatloaf was actually amazing and I actually usually hate meatloaf. It’s gravy based and not tomato based so that’s probably why. I was skeptical about buffet Mac and cheese but it was legit. The desserts were good too and the salad bar was very fresh. I have zero complaints.

Our server this afternoon was such a sweet young man. I wish I could remember his name. He worked this afternoon (Black Friday) during lunch and was so attentive to us and even got my baby some juice when we ran out of juice boxes. He was so friendly and helpful. His parents should be so proud of him. 🙂 if I ever come back to Galveston for future trips, I’m definitely gonna be coming back here. Again, I don’t know what these reviewers are expecting. You’re at a garden/amusement park; not a 5 star steakhouse with valet. I have been to many zoos, botanical gardens, and aquariums and the restaurant options at most of them don’t even compare to this place. Great experience and I would love to visit again.

We came here for Thanksgiving. It was HORRIBLE. Spent almost $300, and could easily go to eat again somewhere else. I will not continue to eat bad food. The best thing was the mashed potatoes and the cheese cubes, lol. Meat was so dry and tough, and sides were watery, or mushy, or flavorless. And drove down from Houston for the experience. And to end it on an even worse note, the parking was bad and had to park in a lot far from the restaurant. Then on the walk back to the car, they had chained off the walkway, and had to climb on the rocks at the canal to get around the fence. This tired, old tourist trap will never get another dollar from me.

My family ate here today because we were at an event in the convention center. Server was nice and attentive. The dining room is beautiful. Food was not edible. 3/5 dishes weren’t eaten. Shrimp was undercooked. Short rib grilled cheese was hard to swallow it was so unpleasant. One of the waiters who brought my food out took my sisters dirty appetizer plate and asked me to move my entree onto that plate so she could take back what was wrong with the order. Server was not apologetic about the undercooked food, she didn’t seem surprised by it either. Since eating here 3 of us have been very sick. My dad ordered a salad and had no issues with it, so stick to salads if you’re going to eat here.

Happy with our experience here! Did have to wait to get seated, slight communication issue. We did not eat off of the restaurant menu, we had the BBQ Buffet which was great! Our waitress was great, and the view was a plus!

Great view of the bay and paddlewheel boat. We chose to eat off the menu, which was pricey, but you received good-sized portions for the dollar amount. Service was not that great. Waitress didn't tend to the table as much, left empty glasses. We had a group of 8 and gratuity was already worked into the check, 22% I don't feel that's right and that the service was not worth the amount we all paid.

Moody’s don’t take care of their properties. They are just money hungry & don’t care about people. They own nursing homes they don’t upkeep. They Moody gardens & hotel is run down! The elder Moody is rolling over in his grave. He built the company & his legacy is trash! Sad

Slow service, 30 minutes after ordering drinks we are still missing half the tables drinks (6 person table) and have not been checked on either.

Stopped by today in between exploring the pyramids. I don’t know why so many bad reviews. I had a wonderful experience. For only $25 per adult we were able to get the buffet, which includes free water or tea. Everything was delicious: the baked potato , RIBEYE steak, the salads, pastas, beef soup, fresh fruit! Everything was fresh and delicious. The servers were very friendly. When we were done with a plate they swiftly removed it. When we needed refills, they were there. We were seated near the window with wonderful views. For my daughter we got the Mac and cheese for $7 instead of paying $15 for the buffet for her, since I know she wouldn’t eat much I didn’t think it was worth it. Prices were good for a buffet in my opinion, because the quality and flavor is there. We spent more at Saltgrass yesterday (just for 2 adults) and not nearly as good. Only negative is the tables and chairs, need to upgrade them to something not so 1900s looking. But other than that 10/10. Oh and if you don’t want buffet you can also just order like a normal restaurant

Stopped by to eat after visiting the Aquarium and Rainforest. They have a buffet or you can order off the menu. The food is great and the views are even greater.
