Our Galveston Dining Club chose Mr. Taco on the Seawall for this month’s luncheon and we had the best experience! The food was amazing! I have the Chicken Tinga Empanadas and my husband had the Plant Based Chorizo Quesadillas and both were AMAZING! Shout out to Lexie, Javi, and Ray for their flawless service! Can’t wait to go again!!

We are visiting Galveston and are always looking for plant-based options. Mr. Taco Cantina did not disappoint! Not only were the margaritas fantastic, so too was the service and food. I’m not a fan of refried beans, but their vegan refried beans were the tastiest I’ve ever had—and I’m very picky. Our server remembered that I didn’t want salt on my margaritas (I didn’t have to remind him when I asked for another) and he also remembered that I didn’t ant cilantro (yup, it tastes like soap to me). Unfortunately, they were out of the plant based beef & chicken, so I had the chorizo (and huch I often do not like) but it wasn’t bad. We hope to come back for the other options later during our stay! I almost forgot! We also had the guacamole and salsa with chips. OMG, so good! Even with the cilantro (which was big enough to remove) it was delicious. It was so smooth and just the right hint of spicy (& I’m sensitive to spicy). Note: the salsa, it’s spicy!

Visiting from out of town and we were a bit concerned about finding plant based options in the area and then came across this little gem. This place wa fantastic. Great plant base options, the service was amazing. The margaritas were great to boot. Food is high quality. The chips and guac was excellent, probably even ate a bit too much before the great main dish. I had to he vegan sopes with chorizo option. Unfortunately they didn't have any of the other plant base meat options available at the time, but it will still great. We will be back to try others when they get the delivery.

I’m new to the Galveston area and I came here one evening during the week and had a fantastic time! The environment was incredibly welcoming and the drinks were delicious. Specifically the strawberry margaritas. Definitely not skimpy on the alcohol by any means. I didn’t get a chance to try their food, but trust me I will be back soon to enjoy a meal. This is for sure gonna be my new hangout spot.

I got a recommendation from a staff person at the hotel I stayed at. I am so glad I asked. Such amazing food, the shrimp tacos I had were the tastiest ever! I would say the same for the margarita I had. If I were more than a tourist, I would eat here regularly. Try it! You won't be disappointed.

Great place, service was good, pastor and Barbacoa tacos were delicious. Michealadas and margaritas were also very good. I would recommend and will return. I gave it a 4 because we had problems with the bill, so be sure to check your receipt before paying.
