We recently (October '24) ordered a couple of shrimp poorboys for pickup. I have been eating these at Nates for about 7 years and they were always great, until now. These were the two worst shrimp poorboys I've ever had. The bun was soggy and seemed old. the shrimp were overcooked and soggy. The breading slid off when you tried to bite a shrimp, leaving you with a slimy shrimp and a lump of chewy breading. After a few bites, we gave the rest to the seagulls.
We’ve been visiting Nate’s for the past 4 years on an annual visit to the west end. The food and service have always been great! Nanette has been our server for the past couple of years and took great care of us!
Nanette our sweet server took such great care of us. Myself, my husband & his Sister were all celebrating our Oct birthday mth. Nanette made my big Chef Salad herself & it was the best one I've ever had out !! Very friendly, excellent service & a sweetheart! Also better food & prices than on Galveston. We will keep coming back !
