Good, basic Vietnamese food. I got the bun with chicken and the noodles were properly prepared and not soggy. The spring rolls were freshly made with nice crispy vegetables I was pleased with my order and I would go again

Stopped by to get their Vietnamese coffee to go, paid $11 with tip for two just to receive half empty cups.

A family run place a little away from the touristy parts of Galveston that serves excellent pho.

The house pho was very good. Fresh, piping hot, with good portions of all kinds of meat, in just the right kind of broth. Call it comfort food, or just plain filling, it ticks all the right boxes. We also ordered a plate of fried rice, which too was good, though not exceptional.

Service was fast and friendly in a South East Asian kind of way, which is to say don't expect much of a conversion, but you will get what you need with minimum fuss.

Prices are reasonable. The location is a bit of the grittier side of town, so the place closes at 8 pm with last order at 7.30pm. The inside is clean and bright.

The tendon pho was absolutely Devine. We also got the Honey Marinated Chicken Ric plate. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. Waiter was kind and everything came out hot fresh/quickly.

Disappointed Overwhelming Sewer Smell Upon Entry. Being one of the few Vietnamese restaurants on the island, I was really looking forward to trying Pho Tai in Galveston. I’ve driven past it countless times and finally decided to stop in.

Unfortunately, the moment I walked through the door, I was hit with an overwhelming sewer smell. It was strong, foul, and completely off-putting. I couldn’t imagine sitting down and trying to enjoy a bowl of pho with that stench lingering in the air.

I didn’t even make it past the entrance I turned around and walked right out. It’s a shame, because I was hoping for a good experience, but first impressions matter, and this one was a dealbreaker.

Pho Tai is one of our favorite pho places in Texas. We love coming to visit when we are in Galveston. Don’t judge the book by the cover definitely applies here. The outside is rough but the restaurant is super clean and despite other reviews we have never experience a sewer smell. The pho is so delicious, the broth is my favorite. We love pho and have it often and never have been disappointed here. The spring rolls are always fresh. Service is good for a Pho restaurant.

Very unassuming place but great pleasant service and the best Vietnamese food in the county. Especially love the pho and egg rolls. Love coming here.

Our favorite thing to get here is the Grilled Marinated Salmon (Cơm Cá Salmon Nướng). There a lot of other great options to choose from too.

It's our favorite place to get pho. We love the A5, C6, B3, Bahn Mi, and C6 (we REALLY like the C6). Great family owned place and a staple every time we go to the island.
