The Playground Patio Bar & Grill is on one the street corners along The Strand. Fun atmosphere with fun music! Not a crazy, overly crowded spot. You can inside or outside. I ordered the pulled pork nachos which were amazing! Could have fed a family of 4! Great spot!
Did not order food for this visit but will in the future. Came on a random Tuesday night, Loki was the DJ host for the evening. That guy is awesome and really got the place jumping! There was a birthday party that was very well managed, and the staff were really quick to get your order and clean up trash.
Burgers were awesome! On our return list for sure.

Such a great location and fun look but the restaurant was very dirty, the Nachos were pretty horrible. Just stale chips canned cheese and chili with bagged lettuce. Margarita mix was from the soda dispenser and then just add booze. Very over priced considering across the street you bag get a good freshly made margarita for half the price. We don't plan on ever going back unless something drastic changes

A little heartbroken I was told I could not bring my backpack in during Mardi gras, so my question was what's the difference between my backpack and a large purse? but no one could answer honestly. We used to stop in at least 2-3 times a month, not anymore.

Friday night we went there for karaoke. The music was on the loud side if your into that. It was empty but, the DJ was good.
My wife and I just happened upon this restaurant while walking on the strand, and we were pleasantly surprised by how absolutely delicious the burgers were! They were truly some of the best burgers we’ve had, and they were seasoned extremely well (look at the picture). If you’re in Galveston, definitely make this one of your stops!

We had great hopes for this one, but, it just didn't happen. We didn't find the friendly service that everyone mentions. The great food.....we didn't find that either. The Buffalo wings were little nubs that were 1/2 the size of chicken nuggets. Not even the dipping sauce was flavorful.I hate giving less then excellent reviews. These folks all work hard. That said, just not what we were looking for.

This place has great service and very welcoming. The burger was juicy and full of flavor, the fries were crispy and fresh! Definitely a place to add to our list to go eat.

This is the best burger place I’ve ever been to! I’m from DFW area so we have our pick of the litter when it comes to burger joints, but this one definitely exceeds all places I’ve been to. I got the classic burger and took a bite. It didn’t even need any condiments added! It was perfectly juicy and seasoned well! Came back twice while I was in town! Also, their fries where HECKA GOOD!Kid-friendliness: Arcade games available!
