A few things.. I was very excited to eat here but I was thoroughly disappointed.
Walked in and it wasnt very busy only about 7-8 tables in the restaurant. Greeted by the host, we had a reservation but it didnt appear on their list. No worries though, we were still sat quickly. Took about 5 minutes for our waitress to get to us, never got her name, it was our first time eating here and we didnt get recommendations for food. She seemed very uncomfortable or overwhelmed even though she was only taking care of three other tables. Maybe she was training, who knows. I only found out her name because her name was on the bill. In my opinion, everyone besides the bartender (who made a great cosmo, props to him…) Looked like they were one step away from having a nervous breakdown. If everyone was in the weeds I wouldve been happy to help 😂
The calamari for the appetizer was subpar. The fry on it wasnt crispy, the calamari itself was cooked fine, wasnt too rubbery or chewy. It was just soggy and not crispy. Possibly frozen before cooked?
I ordered the “Chef Lobster Creation” and what a creation it was. For $50 i wouldve expected better quality and presentation. Came with two shrimp, one lobster tail, some grilled asparagus, a crab cake and some Parmesan risotto. Nothing was seasoned.. The risotto had the most seasoning only because of all the cheese they put on top.
I ordered the creme brulee and a shot of espresso for afterwards. It was okay. My espresso was burnt from the water being too hot, the creme brulee was just okay. “You get what you paid for..” I didnt get what i paid for. After the $15 tip the bill was $120 Cant say Ill be back.

We were visiting Galveston from out of state. We were advised to go to Katie’s, but they were closed. We walked past Saltwater Grill and popped in on a whim. no regrets. The service was quick. Our waiter was excellent and educated in the seafood business. My husband and I both ordered lobster bisque soup and chopped salad with salmon. That was the BEST salmon I have ever had. 10/10 would recommend and would definitely go back.

Great food great service,a little pricey but well worth it. Give it a try you'll love the sea bass and the chicken Marsala. Salmon plate was also very good and the salmon was very tender.

We came on Monday night and it was pretty quite and there were 5 tables only with us. A little bit skeptical at the beginning, however once we ate the bread and Ahi Tuna tower the rest is history. It was super good!!!! Plus the fish is so fresh!!!! Highly recommended
