We had an amazing experience, celebrating our anniversary. The wait staff was very professional. The host was very attentive to our needs. The food was delicious.

This was probably the best meal I've had in a while. Everything was delicious. We were celebrating our 39th anniversary and it was perfect!

We went for both of our birthdays. Carlos was our waiter. I have to say he is probably one of the best waiters in Galveston. To start with the cocktails were great. The food was wonderful. He just made our overall dining experience wonderful!!!

Great steak, food at bar. Amazing cheesecake. Bar staff were slow and entitled. They upset numerous clients with their unresponsive attitude. Terrible customer service.

This hands down the best steakhouse on the gulf coast. I highly recommend to start with the Four Roses Old Fashioned before your steak and save room for dessert. We had the bread pudding and it was outstanding!

For the price we had higher expectations. It is convenient if you’re staying in the hotel, which is a plus. We liked our wine and thought the appetizer (stuffed shrimp) was good. Everything else we ordered wasn’t great quality, including the steak. If you’re wanting a nice steak dinner on the island, this wouldn’t be my recommendation.

The Steakhouse is consistently excellent. Starting with John Paul's (sp?) welcome. He makes you feel like an old friend even if you dine here once a year. The dining room is dark and clubby, which is suitable for a great steak house. The staff is professional and attentive without being overly intrusive. The food quality and portions are generous and delicious. Overall just a great experience. Prices are high but in my view worth the food and service. Only complaint is they don't really have a dress code. People in the dining room in t shirts and shorts.

Always an excellent experience. We have gone several times from Mother's Day, birthdays, anniversary, and just because we wanted ax exceptional steak.

Dining at The Steakhouse was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we were seated, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our evening was special. They are attentive, flexible, and happy to accommodate unique requests, including dietary needs. I require all my dishes to be prepared gluten free, and they made every effort to ensure that each course was safe for me to enjoy without sacrificing flavor or presentation.

One example that stood out to me was when I asked if they could prepare a lump crabmeat cocktail. Although it wasn’t listed on the menu, the server was more than happy to arrange it. What arrived was beautifully presented in a light dressing, completely gluten free, and absolutely delicious.

For my entrée, I ordered the seafood special of the evening, sea bass topped with crabmeat and shrimp. The fish was perfectly prepared, melting in my mouth, and the accompaniments were flavorful and well balanced. The kitchen made sure everything was gluten free, including the mushrooms I ordered on the side, which were fabulous.

Meanwhile, my husband and boys shared the Tomahawk steak, a 40-ounce showstopper. Splitting it between three was perfect, and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Another standout was the appetizer my husband chose, seared scallops with risotto which he described as outstanding.

One thing to note: entrées take time to arrive, but this is by design. The pace is leisurely, giving you time to relax and enjoy appetizers, cocktails, and conversation without feeling rushed. Portions are generous, especially the sides, which are ideal for sharing. For instance, my boys shared the mashed potatoes, and the serving was more than enough.

In every way, The Steakhouse delivered a first class dining experience. The food was exceptional, the service thoughtful, and the gluten-free accommodations outstanding. If you’re in Galveston and looking for a memorable meal, this restaurant is an absolute must.

We have been going there for years and have never had any complaints, the service is unbelievable and the food is great.

Can’t say enough good things. We left a stuffed animal in the sheets and they returned it to us! Microwaves cost $10 but it was worth it anyway.

I had the Steakhouse Skewer with lobster, filet mignon, and colossal shrimp. It was fabulous, but next time my husband and I will share it. So much food! We were staying at another resort and had no way to take home the leftovers. Our waiter, Ricardo, was absolutely amazing. He made everything so wonderful. My only complaint, which is huge, is about the majority of the clientele. Loud, obnoxious, men wearing backwards caps and shorts in a very elegant atmosphere. When i go to a rather expensive restaurant, I would expect to see better behavior. So many were acting like it was a sports bar.

We've been here many times, one of my wife's favorite steak places, since Hall's Chophouse in Charleston SC. Excellent service. Food incredible, with a crab cake appetizer, wagyu beef (Australian), au gratin potatoes. Dessert, chocolate pie and coconut pie, crust reminded me of my Mother's! A very special birthday celebration.

Expensive but delicious. Service, Food, and personnel are all top-notch, including the valet parking people. While expensive, it is good value for dining dollars. Can't miss here.
