We had reservations for Valentines evening. They sat us on the side without live music and the best view. They didn't have what we wanted to order. They were out of the pork chops and the heirloom tomatoes. Our server had an attitude and was not very pleasant to us. Very disappointing evening. We received the bill with no pen to sign. Had to ask for butter. Had to ask for lemon. Waited over an hour for our food.
Hostess station had a dirty empty Starbucks container sitting where you check in. It was still there when we left.
Hostess dreadlocks entered an empty glass when she sat a couple. The ends of her dreads went into the empty glass and they served water in it afterwards. Disgusting.
We felt very disenfranchised. Won't go back. Sad that it has degraded to this point.

This was a lovely dining experience from start to finish. The restaurant was decorated so nicely for the holidays, and everyone in our party (ages 1-61) was treated so well by the staff.

The food was cooked perfectly from the steaks to the seafood. I enjoyed a red snapper Wellington which I’ve never seen on a menu before anywhere. So unique and delicious. The bread pudding for dessert was flavorful as well. We’d definitely return!

I Ordered a medium to medium well special 8 ounce fillet. The steak was cooked well to over well. I am not sure they know how to cook steaks. Disappointment.

I was sat under an air vent. I asked to be moved and was told sorry......we are fully booked. The service was incredibly slow. Customers who sat down 30 minutes after us were enjoying their food were eating way before our food came out. Appetizers should have been fired together, there is NO reason why a shrimp cocktail should arrive 20 minutes after the hot Appetizers was delivered. It was so cold that my mother was using the table cloth as a blanket. I was really looking forward to this meal but sadly it was a disappointment on all fronts.

We stopped here on our last night of our trip to Galveston. Tuesday they have a surf and turf special (tenderloin and lobster). The food was amazing. The tenderloin could almost be cut with a fork. The lobster was sweet. Mashed potatoes were fluffy. Veggies very flavorful. The view is spectacular as you're on the 9th floor. We had a table looking out. Very nice. Word of warning; it's a semi fancy restaurant with some dress restrictions. If you're plan on eating here, you may want to pack a dress shirt or other nice attire. Reservation required with credit card to hold your spot. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Parking was not an issue. Recommended for that fancy night out.

We had a very nice evening and a really good dinner. My husband’s rack of lamb was done as he asked, and the sides were tasty. My pasta primavera was cooked al dente with lots of vegetables. Parker, our server, was attentive and personable. We have eaten at Shearn’s many times in the past and were impressed with the quality after inconsistent meals in past years.

Disappointing service. Waiter was inattentive and didn’t explain options for fish prep. My husband ordered a medium filet mignon. It came well done. He sent it back and after a very long wait got a medium rare filet which he ate because we didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes. They brought me a very nice complimentary birthday dessert but the waiter disappeared and never asked my husband if he wanted dessert or if we wanted coffee. This place is pricey and we expected better. We won’t be returning.

The restaurant is a lovely space on the 9th floor of Moody Gardens Hotel. Our server Parker was very knowledgeable of the menus and special selections for dinner. The Spicy Tuna appetizer was amazing and the plating was beautiful. The lobster bisque was presented beautifully and the flavors were superb. We shared the Bison special and it was cooked to perfection and served table side with asparagus, Brussels, carrots and whipped potatoes. Dessert was 20 year Tawny Fladgate Port. Highly recommend Shearn’s!

From the moment we were greeted by the host out front until our conversations with Jared. Amazing service and a delicious meal to go with it. Let’s not forget about the most stunning sunset view. Thank you for taking care of us and treating us islanders like we were on vacation!
