This is a gem! We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. Our waitress Anna excellently helped us with wine choices and brought us fresh sourdough bread. We chose calimari for an appetizer, osso bucco, veal parm, mushroom ravioli and veal campagola for our meals - all amazing! For dessert we all shared a cannoli and Nutella cheesecake. Great meal and good prices! Service was superb! Thank you!

For years, Trattoria was our favorite restaurant in Galveston, but our last two visits have been disappointing, primarily because of the service. On our most recent visit, after being seated, we were ignored for 15 minutes. Finally we got someone's attention and requested water. Pre-meal bread came after 35 minutes, without olive oil. Entrees came at around 55 minutes, minus the wine we ordered and the salad that was supposed to come with my wife's order (60 minutes). My wife's shrimp scampi was very good; my chicken salad was not. The chicken was dry and bland. Toward the end of our stay, my wife mentioned the unacceptable service to the host. He should have comped the wine, at least. He made no adjustments. Instead, he was defensive. I hope these were aberrations and we caught them on bad nights. But it will be a long while before we return.

One of my favorite restaurants in Galveston. We dropped in for dinner before a show at the Grand Opera House and had a great dinner before walking across the street to the theatre. Great seafood soup and fresh pasta.

Love this place! Food, service and ambiance are great! Our waiter was so polite and attentive, he suggested us delicious choices for food and wine! This was my second time eating here. Definitely I will try to visit again any time I'm in the island.

Food and service was great. My wife and I both enjoyed our entrees very much. Our server was attentive and he took care of us very well. Restaurant entry and layout was a little confusing and ambiance was a little noisy. We happened to be sitting right in front of an air conditioning vent, so it was a little chilly, but these were minor complaints overall. We had a good experience and I'm sure we'll return.

Trattoria la Vigna is a cozy Italian gem in Galveston. I ordered my go-to lasagna, and it was outstanding, with tender layers, rich ragu, and silky bechamel served bubbling hot. Service was warm and attentive, the room felt inviting, and prices were fair for the quality. Classic Italian done right, and I will be back for the lasagna again... and again... and again :)

Pina produces authentic cuisine. Always delicious as all the pasta is fresh made and cooked perfectly. Dining there is a real treat and affordable enough to do regularly. Always live going to Galveston. Don't miss this little jewel.

Amazing food. Everything is homemade. Best Chicken Piccata in town. Maybe even in Houston. Service could have been better. It was busy but she was at times invisible. Still a local gem. Will definitely be back!

We were in the area enjoying a last minute stay on Galveston island. at the Grand Galvez. The restaurant was recommended by our pool bartender. This was an absolutely delicious meal with an outstanding server who checked on us continuously and made wonderful recommendations to us. We had a hard time deciding what to order as there were so many amazing choices! The wonderful owner/cook/lady who makes it all happen, came to our table and all of the other tables individually to make sure we were happy with our meal. That, in itself, is so unusual and we enjoyed quickly chatting with her. Do not hesitate to eat at La Vigna. You will not be disappointed. We recommended to others at the resort and a few went and enjoyed as well.
