The food was excellent! The atmosphere was so nice. We, my family and I, 7 total, sat by the fire place and really enjoyed the conversation with each other. The service was excellent!!! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back!!!

It always takes a very long time to be sat and served drinks at Waterman's—even when you have a reservation. That said, once we got drinks the waiter was fabulous, dealing with split plates and multiple checks with great good humor and efficiency.

Excellent service as usual! Tried the shrimp and grits and it did not disappoint. Grits were moist and the blackened gulf shrimp were perfectly cooked. Lots of flavor I this dish. We live on Galveston Island and this is our favorite date night place!

Service was very good, loved our server and the fact that the portion sizes were very big for what you are paying. The outside seating area is over a lake that leads into the ocean not the ocean itself so getting a view directly of the sunset ( which was my goal originally ) wasn't exactly doable. Diners inside typically allow their children to run around outside to the docks and back while they wait for their food which is fine with me but def not something you'd want for a more romantic dinner with your significant other. I also put notes in open table that it was our anniversary and to be seated outside but I had to remind them at the front and nothing exactly special had been done so it seems like open table is only for making reservations not letting them know anything specific in the notes. Overall was very good but one and done for us

Love Waterman's ambiance and the music and service were impeccable last night but for a limited NYE menu it was way overpriced for what was served. Very disappointed. I'll spend $400 for a great meal but the food was subpar for value...and on NYE at that.

Food is good. Pricing is steep for what you get. It's in the water so that is nice. But I don't think the ambience is worth the price. Good prices and tasty kids meals though for the littles

We sat in outdoor dining area with our 2 pups and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Our waiter was very kind and accomodating. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was great..the Redfish with shrimp ponchatrain...excellent...our server was awesome ....the only downside..two male employees kissing right out in the open...not my vibe but inappropriate regardless of gender or sexual orientation...
