We had some sushis and Teriyaki chicken. The sushi dish tastes Ok but the chicken is a bit tough. However, two of the family members who consumed most sushis had diarrhea the very next day. We thought the freshness of the fish might be questionable.

The food was outstanding! I'd recommend the Red Dragon Roll. Their ginger salad dressing is fire. Everything was so good. I'll be coming back for sure.

Yamato, the celestial realm of sushi perfection in Galveston, Texas, left me utterly enchanted. A culinary voyage guided by masterful artisans who wielded their knives like samurai swords, crafting edible masterpieces that danced on my taste buds. Each morsel was a symphony of flavors, a gastronomic sonnet composed with the freshest ingredients. The ambiance, a fusion of elegance and tranquility, elevated the dining experience to an otherworldly level. Yamato isn't just a sushi haven; it's a celestial sanctuary where taste transcends boundaries. Prepare for a gastronomic odyssey that will leave you starry-eyed—undoubtedly deserving of a five-star constellation of praise.

My husband and I went there over the weekend for the first time and really enjoyed it. We had great service from both the waitress and the chef, and got some really good food for the price. We did the meal for 2, and each got miso soup, salad, fried rice, chicken, steak, shrimp, and vegetables all for $68. It was more then plenty and we had enough to take home for another meal. We will definitely go back here.

Great sushi, busy place (a good thing ) some noisy kids with parents who don't care about others, service was decent, had to ask for plates and dipping dishes, otherwise a good experience. Next time we'll try the hibachi service.

Lied. Tried to make a Togo order at 9:10. They said they’re already closed. They close at 9:30.

Fresh sushi. Always fun watching the cooks stir up a good dinner. Great place to eat. The staff and service is excellent! Busy and loud on a Friday night, but that's part of what is great about this restaurant.Parking: In the evening, if the parking lot is full, so is the restaurant. But things move fast, you can have a table in 10-15 minutes.Kid-friendliness: Bring the kids, they'll love the show at the hibachi tables. It's fire!

Great food, lovely service and it’s easy to get lost in the experience and forget you shouldn’t eat everything on the menu ?. I had the Teriaki beef and prawns and sampled other dishes from others in my party and everything tasted divine. There’s also a nice fresh feel to the food. It’s cooked infront of you so you know what’s going into your body. They also have one of the best salad dressings I’ve tasted.I’d 100% recommend Yamato especially if you’re dinning with company
