There aren't many Puerto Rican restaurants around here so I have it a shot. Let me say, these guys have the biggest pasteles you will find ANYWHERE!! The food was on point and reminded me of home. Come give Tia Elys a shot, it's good eats!!

This place is no longer open it's a Mexican spot now. Very disappointed cause we came all the way from Irving.

I think they may be permanently closed. I went by the other day to find a for rent sign. Shame because the Puerto Rican food was perfect

Just FYI: Went today Sunday May 5, 2019 and was informed by the store owner that they are out of business. The restaurant was empty and the kitchen was completely empty.
Just good food and good service. No frills, food looks and tastes so good. You do need to purchase your drinks on the convenience store next door and bring them to your table.

So, If you order Puerto Rican food its microwaved, and not made fresh. I'm Puerto Rican and if I can not smell the food and combinations of herbs and spices then that is a red flag for me. Microwaved food takes away from flavor and character to what's suppose to be for a beautiful dish. Pastilles are not suppose to be hard or microwaves and Mofong does not have chicharrones, it takes away from the plantain flavor. Rice is good and alcapurria are great because they have to be fried in order to be served, but to give you a better idea the alcapurria was hotter then my whole plate.
It's ok. Their tacos are over priced.
