✨ Tonight we tried the Fish Trap'n in Garland and let me tell you—the cook knocked my order out of the park! Baby, he seasoned the heck out of that fried okra. It was so good it didn’t even make it home. 😋

I'm not a fan ordered from Revolving Door which has several fast food places. I paid 24 bucks for some salty fish and hard okra. Never again my food was horrible I gave it away. I see reviews are from 3 years ago. Oh well lesson learned now I know.

First time going. They don’t take cash. I ordered the 4 piece chicken deal and also the fish deal. My chicken was dark you can tell, the grease is old. The chicken tastes like it was fried with the fish. But the food was hot. 1out of 10, I will never go again.

Disappointed is an understatement!! Had I thought to look at the earlier google reviews, I would not have went. I saw the Instagram review of dubbsgrubs, which he had to have been compensated for it because it is totally false. If he was not compensated, they knew he was coming to review for them and gave him different service. The portion of one average side fillet, a handful of fries and/or okra, and I regular piece of light bread should NOT have been over $16!! Fish was mid at best. I paid an extra $1 for the lemon pepper cause. It gave the fish a little flavor, otherwise it would have been bland. Fries are NOT Cajun fries. They just sprinkled some season salt on top. They made a mistake and gave me okra instead of fries. When I let them know of the error, I was told the cook had to drop some more fries. Ten minutes later, I see 3 other baskets go out and still no fries. When I speak to the waiter about the status, he comes back with a small bag of SCRAP fries. Only 1 fry in the bag was as long as my finger! Talking about adding injury to insult! The other basket I bought did have its fries, and they looked nothing like what I got. Portion size was poor on that basket as well. Total waste of $40. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Save yourself time and money and go to Fish Shack or Texas Roadhouse for fish baskets and 5 Guys for Cajun Fries.

I ordered the 2 piece catfish plate and it was hot, fresh, delicious, and off the chain. I was craving some fresh catfish and I enjoyed my food. It smelled soo good, I couldn't wait and take a picture; I started eating the plate as soon as I was down the street and it did not disappoint.
Fish And loaded mashed potatoes was LIFE! Perfectly seasoned and fried to perfection… I’m a repeat customer for sure.

Listen… if you want a good home cooked meal, this is the place to be. Fish Trap’n can get all of my business. The food is seasoned well, fish is fried the way I like it, (soft with a hard crisp) and the portions are enough to get full once, and come back in for a second helping. Y’all make sure you try those ranch chops too you won’t regret it!!!

The catfish (yes catfish, not talapia) was well seasoned, with a bit of crunch on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside. You're missing out if you go anywhere else. The customer service is on point, they certainly make you feel like family (in a good way) You're not only getting great food, but a warm welcome. Go check them out!
